Job Description

Emulate3D, a Rockwell Automation company, produces industry-leading 3D simulation software. Our physics-based software allows automation engineers to test a variety of industrial equipment, from robotic spot welding of cars through to high-speed packaging machinery. Engineers use Emulate3D to create Digital Twins (a computer model) of their real industrial hardware. This allows them to test their machines in a virtual environment to ensure that the physical design, electrical schematic, and PLC control logic all function correctly. The software includes a powerful physics engine, a discrete event simulation engine, to external controllers, and the ability to write custom logic and behaviours. This allows users to simulate an entire production line running at real-time.

As an Emulate3D Technical Support Engineer you will provide technical support (by email) to external customers and field escalations from our global level one support providers.

You will report to the Emulate3D Training and Support Lead

Your Responsibilities - you will do:

  • Provide technical support to external customers and partner companies
  • Resolve issues with customer models
  • Create example models
  • Report issues and feature requests to the development team

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical/computer/mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Science, or other STEM subjects
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience with Emulate3D or digital twin software
  • Team-oriented personality with well-developed, experience communicating updates and resolutions to customers and other partners
  • Customer focus
  • Fluency in English
  • Problem-solving skills

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Programming experience, with C / C++ / C#
  • Knowledge of PLCs and other Rockwell products
