An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Employee Relations Partner to join the Employee Relations team, based in Bristol.

You will collaborate with Line Managers, People Partners, Trade Unions and Employee Representatives to support, influence and execute business change providing ER guidance. Ensuring planning & delivery and advising on ER approaches for groups and individuals.

This role is part-time, and we can be flexible on the pattern which works for the individual and the business.

What you will be doing:

Working as part of the UK Employee Relations team, you with work with your colleagues to develop and deliver the ER plan for the Bristol site, working in conjunction with the business leadership teams, people teams and Trade Unions representatives. You will work with other VP Employees, ER Partners and Head of ER based in Derby and elsewhere. If you interested in a role that really impacts the business, then this is the role for you.

  • Align workplace practices with company, employee, business and legislative requirements to maximise performance and productivity improvement.
  • Provide business focussed, pragmatic workplace practice solutions to improve working arrangements, productivity, support the move to standardisation and the creation of the right environment for a diverse and inclusive workplace in a transforming organisation.
  • Working with our Trade Unions representatives to support the change agenda
  • Provide advice on activities requiring collective engagement and liaise with the relevant legal representatives to ensure that risk is always kept to a minimum.
  • Advise and support any statutory consultation relationships which enable good employee relations and/or legal compliance.
  • Work closely with the people teams across the Bristol site to understand their requirements and provide support on issues within their client group.

Preferred requirements:

  • Strong experience of operating on the front line of trade union relations, a history of successfully driving change within unionised environments and have the drive and ability to move the business forward, and really make things happen.
  • Relationship building, consultative and advisory skills complimented with awareness of HR generalist issues.
  • Well-developed customer and relationship management skills, including credibility and influencing skills across all levels.
  • Broad change management skill set, combined with the ability to apply project management principles to deliver and support organisational change.
  • Ability to operate independently and work collaboratively within a regional and UK team.
  • Ability to provide support on multiple activities and to understand the impact of Employee Relations/employment law on the wider HR and business agenda and to operate with a pragmatic, commercial and results orientated approach.
