Jabil is seeking an experienced PCB Electronics/Test Technician to work in our Auburn Hills, MI plant! We are needing someone for 3rd shift!
How will you make an impact?
The PCB Electronics/Test Technician will be self-directed and will be responsible for developing and maintaining test procedures, test hardware, and software for electronic circuit production.
What will you do?
Supports the Test Engineer in the development and commission of test solutions executing the test qualification of the fixture and program as per the specific system qualification process.
Responsible for providing the deliverables to support the solution in production to both the Test Support Function and Manufacturing Operations.
Assists in the build and manufacture of testers, fixtures, and environmental tooling as required to meet customer expectations.
The Technician Engineer provides the interface to the Test Support function providing comprehensive documentation and training for all test solutions implemented.
Provides the interface to the Manufacturing function providing comprehensive documentation and coordinating training and education for all test operations implemented.
Through working with the Test Support function monitor and contribute to the improvement of Test Yields, Efficiency, Intermittencies, and Uptime providing accurate reporting and clear targets for improvement.
In conjunction with the Test Engineer strives to consistently upgrade the test process balancing cost, and coverage with the goal of providing an optimized and cost-efficient test process.
Works closely with manufacturing and test support to ensure prioritization of support activities. They will be responsible for coordinating the timetable for test readiness based on the weekly production schedule through the appropriate Test Support staff.
May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
How will you get here?
Education:
High School Diploma Required or GED is required.
Experience:
At least 1 year of related work experience is strongly preferred.
Experience troubleshooting Printed Circuit Boards (PCB's) down to the component level is required.
Experience soldering surface mount components.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Basic knowledge of electronics and how they function is required.
Experience and knowledge using Computers is required.
Strong communication skills both verbal and written.

SUMMARY
Independently troubleshoots complex test equipment and product; provides training and assistance to other Technicians; collects and interprets test data. Fabricates and builds test equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
OR equivalent combination of education, work experience and technical expertise
Ability to:
Programming language experience preferred
Close vision, use of computer monitor. Use of a scope required for certain processes.
May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
Moving and carrying equipment
Steel toed shoes and safety glasses must be worn on the Mfg floor
Primary work area is on the manufacturing floor
Secondary work areas Test Lab or Test Workshop
Nose levels range from moderate to above average, depending on work location
Exposure to machinery with moving parts and high temperature surfaces
Exposure to advanced power tools, including Band Saws, Mills, Table Saws, etc.
Occasional exposure to low dust/dirt and chemical fumes
Exposure to energized product and equipment requiring the use of proper PPE
