Compensation: $49.65 - $49.65/hour

Tessera is seeking a skilled Electrician specializing in Ordnance Grounding & Maintenance to support electrical operations for the WSBOSC Contract. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting grounding systems and electrical equipment to ensure compliance, safety, and operational reliability. The Electrician will work with low-voltage systems, instrumentation, and a variety of electrical infrastructure while collaborating with maintenance staff and contractors to meet mission requirements. 

Typical duties include but are not limited to:  

  • Installs, modifies, and maintains grounding systems for electrical installations to ensure safety and compliance with applicable codes.  

  • Troubleshoots, installs, maintains, and repairs a variety of electrical systems and equipment, including control circuits, motors, and distribution systems.  

  • Conducts regular inspections and tests of grounding equipment to identify wear, damage, or performance discrepancies.  

  • Performs routine maintenance on electrical equipment and systems to ensure optimal operation and longevity.  

  • Troubleshoots and repairs electrical issues in grounding systems and related infrastructure.  

  • Adheres to Local, State, and Federal electrical codes and regulations, including safety protocols.  

  • Maintains accurate records of inspections, maintenance work, and repairs carried out on electrical systems and grounding equipment.  

  • Stays updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to electrical grounding and maintenance.  

  • Work closely with other maintenance staff and contractors to coordinate tasks and ensure timely project completion. 

 

Qualifications:   

  • Highschool Diploma/GED is required. 

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Commercial and Electrical Systems and Controls. 

  • Knowledge and experience in electrical maintenance and repair, often including grounding and bonding procedures.  

  • Experience with various testing and diagnostic instruments is required 

  • Ability to read and understand schematics and blueprints. 

  •  Must have the ability and be willing to work outside of normal working hours such as after hours and weekends, in the event of unplanned outages. 

 

Physical Requirements: 

Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.   

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. 

  • May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties. 

  • Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required 

  • Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
