Boeing Brazil is seeking a Electrical Engineering Manager, reporting to the Electrical and Electronics Senior Manager, working out of the São José Dos Campos office.

The Electrical Engineering Manager will lead engineering teams responsible for EWIS Certification, Requirements, Safety, Software Tools, Bonding and Grounding and Standard Parts, Wire Design and Wire Installation.

The position includes responsibility for developing and executing project and process plans, implementing policies and procedures, setting operational goals for the team, and acquiring financial and technical resources. This role includes a significant level of mentoring, developing, and motivating direct reports.

Candidates applying for this position should be comfortable providing technical and project management of both Boeing employees and suppliers, as well as leading process improvement activities and utilizing cutting-edge methods for managing team workload and resources. The ability to develop and maintain positive and healthy relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports is a key attribute to being successful in this role.

 Position Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage a team of Engineers in the development, validation, verification, integration and certification including.
  • Be responsible for overall planning, execution, and success of complex projects.
  • Partner closely with suppliers to establish project plans and manage team execution.
  • Maintain resource and skill forecasts to meet project and daily operating requirements.
  • Manages employees performing engineering and technical tasks in the areas of the BCA Airplane Systems engineering.
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures, and sets operational goals.
  • Coordinates engagement with BCA engineering counterparts located at USA sites.
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, including budget and staffing.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes.
  • Provides oversight and approval of approaches to compliance with regulatory requirements and certification processes.
  • Leads and fosters process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains a culture of seeking to understand, courage to speak up, active listening and servant leadership to manage, develop, and motivate employees.

 

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Must have existing rights to work in Brazil.
  • Must have a degree in Engineering
  • Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA). 
  • Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English Language.
  • Experience in management or leadership role.
  • Experience of Electrical engineering.

Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):

  • Experience in the development, integration, and verification of electrical systems.
  • Master’s Degree in an engineering related field or Business Administration (MBA).
  • Experience in requirements management and system safety assessment/functional hazard assessment methodology.
  • Experience working within a regulated industry.
  • Experience with or a desire to learn and implement more Model-Based Engineering (MBE) / Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methods.
