CACI is seeking a cleared Part Time On Call Electrical Engineer to support mission-critical systems in a DoD TS/SCI classified environment. In this role, you will design, analyze, and troubleshoot electrical systems that enable national security missions within secure facilities (SCIF/SAPF and other high-security spaces).

This is remote part-time position. This role offers flexibility with the primary work being conducted remotely. However, there will be occasions when onsite presence at Fort Belvoir, VA, will be required.

Responsibilities:

  • Design interfaces between sensor and platforms to include PCB, cables and processing unit.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and controls issues in the field, working directly with technicians, facility staff, and other engineers.
  • Provide electrical engineering input across the project life cycle: requirements, design, review, test, acceptance, and sustainment.
  • Develop and maintain design documentation, calculations, ICDs, test plans, and as-built drawings.
  • Serve as a technical point of contact for internal stakeholders and government customers on electrical system performance and risk.
  • Support configuration management and change control processes for drawings and documentation in classified environments.

 Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
  • [5+] years of relevant electrical engineering experience (design, analysis, or field engineering); experience on DoD or Intelligence Community programs preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain or already hold TS/SCI clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship required due to government contract and clearance requirements.
  • Strong background in circuit design, including components and mixed-signals design.
  • Experience with vision, position sensor and radio integration.
  • Experience with sensor integration, data acquisition systems, signal conditioning, and embedded systems (microcontrollers, I2C, SPI protocols) is essential.
  • Experience with PCB layout, and operating test and measurement equipment.
  • Proficiency with at least one electrical design or drafting tool (e.g., AutoCAD, ORCAD, or similar).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work hands-on in lab and field environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable interfacing with government customers and cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Desired:

  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering or related discipline.
  • DoD design criteria, MIL-STD, and/or Intelligence Community standards.
  • Experience integrating sensors with air-platforms.
  • Experience with radio communication systems.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$75,200-$158,100
