Role Summary:
This role will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems during assigned shifts to ensure uninterrupted power supply, safe operations, and quick resolution of electrical faults.
Roles and Responsibility:
Operations & Maintenance
Operate and monitor electrical systems including HT/LT panels, transformers, DG sets, UPS, VFDs, etc
Monitor & Troubleshooting OEM, Process equipment’s, EOT, Utility equipment’s like Fire pump, compressor, cooling tower, Etc.
Ensure continuous power supply and system availability during the shift
Perform routine inspection, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs
Maintain proper load management and energy efficiency
Breakdown & Trouble Shooting
Attend electrical breakdowns promptly
Diagnosing faults in process equipment, Utility equipment’s, Electrical panels, cables, motors, MCCs, PDBs, lighting circuits, and power points
Coordinate with OEM / vendors for major electrical issues
Supporting emergency power restoration activities
Safety & Compliance
Follow statutory safety norms and electrical safety procedures
Use appropriate PPE and adhere to LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out) procedures
Ensure compliance with IS standards, local electrical authority norms, and site safety rules
Report unsafe conditions, near misses, and incidents immediately
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain shift logbooks and daily & Monthly electrical checklists
Record breakdown details, maintenance activities, and meter readings
Update preventive maintenance records and work permits
Handover shift activities clearly to the next shift
Coordination & Support
Project OEM vendor coordination for temporary power & installation support.
Coordinate with mechanical, HVAC, fire, and BMS teams
Support project execution, shutdown activities, and audits
Assist in testing, commissioning, and energization of new installations
Requirement
Diploma in Electrical Engineering as educational qualification.
4-6 Years in relevant field of experience
Valid Electrical License as per local statutory requirement (Mandatory)
Female candidates are preferred first.
Knowledge of Electrical drawings & single line diagrams and plant electrical systems
Hands-on experience in fault finding and safe isolation procedures
Good communication and coordination skill
Safety mindset
