GenesisCare is looking for an Education Support Officer to join our team at Fiona Stanley Hospital in Murdoch, WA.
The key aspect of this role is to support and coordinate training for our Registrars at Fiona Stanley Hospital.
We are looking for a highly organised individual who is confident in a clinical environment, someone who thrives in a busy role and is able to manage competing priorities.
On offer is a permanent part-time position, working 3 days per week (days flexible), with a hybrid working model available allowing you some days to WFH.
More specifically, you will:
Provide a full range of administrative and clerical support services in relation to the operation of the training network.
Ensure awareness of relevant College training policies and procedures, and relevant jurisdictional policy directives.
Manage the coordination and facilitation of a network-training program across multiple sites, by liaising with the Training Network Director, site Directors of Training and clinical supervisors, registrars in training and other relevant hospital and Health Service staff.
Assist with the organisation of meetings, workshops, seminars, forums and other network training events. This will include arranging attendance of participants, venue, transport, travel and catering (where appropriate) and drafting and distributing relevant documents.
Provide high-level administrative support to the network’s Local Governance Committee, including the preparation and distribution of agendas, progress reports, updates, meeting papers, venue booking and other secretariat functions as required.
Set up, maintain and use spreadsheets and/or databases to facilitate network operation, in particular as relevant to tracking trainee rotations and progress in line with the training program curriculum requirements.
Where relevant, provide assistance to the Training Network Director and trainees in regards to Human Resources.
We’re looking for someone who has:
Extensive relevant experience in an administrative and secretarial support environment with some knowledge of medical terminology.
Well-developed oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to communicate with specialist consultants and senior professional staff and to gain the cooperation of individuals at all levels.
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion in relaying information.
Excellent time management and organisational skills including ability to meet strict deadlines.
Knowledge of contemporary human resource management principles.
High level of keyboard skills as well as experience with word processing and other Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Publisher.
