LexisNexis is a leading global provider of legal, regulatory and business information. We are seeking an Editorial Operations Lead – Legal Content to support our Pacific Practical Guidance portfolio.
This is a hands-on, senior individual contributor role, ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, partnering across teams, and driving operational excellence in a content‑driven environment.
About the Role
In this role, you will provide editorial and operational leadership across the Pacific Practical Guidance business. You will act as the primary liaison with our offshore production partner (REPH), ensuring publishing deliverables are met, performance metrics are monitored, and operational issues are proactively addressed.
In this role, you are responsible for managing and executing content, operational, and process improvement initiatives for Practical Guidance. You will act as a resource for others throughout the team and the broader organization. The Editorial Operations Team Lead will partner with colleagues within other Practical Guidance business units to drive editorial harmonization and globalization efforts.
This is a permanent, full‑time position, reporting to the Global Head of Practical Guidance Editorial Operations, and is based in Sydney/Hybrid (preference), with openness to candidates from other locations, provided they can reasonably overlap with Sydney business hours.
Responsibilities:
Act as the primary liaison with REPH, monitoring publishing volumes, quality and performance metrics, and serving as an escalation point where required
Own end‑to‑end editorial workflows, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, quality and delivery
Lead content update, enrichment and remediation initiatives across Practical Guidance
Drive continuous improvement and lean‑agile experimentation across editorial operations
Use a data‑driven approach to analyse editorial performance and communicate insights to stakeholders
Partner with product, commercial and systems teams on workflow, tool and system enhancements
Support the implementation and optimisation of new and existing editorial technologies
Acts as a resource for others throughout the team and business
Qualifications:
You are an experienced editorial or content operations professional who thrives in an operational role and enjoys taking ownership.
Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience required. Law degree or demonstrated legal practice area knowledge is preferred (LLB, law clerk, legal researcher, paralegal etc.).
Curious self-starter with a growth mindset and the confidence to question existing approaches.
Strong time management, prioritization and adaptability required to manage multiple priorities and to adjust to changing business demands.
Excellent collaborative, interpersonal and communication skills required to interact with and report results to senior management and stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to successfully lead and deliver projects using lean-agile approaches.
Technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn, retain, and become proficient in content mark-up, systems, product delivery formats and workflows.
Strong understanding of Practical Guidance tools, systems, and workflows a plus.
