This position supports the workflow, documentation preservation and data analysis of the Ecology program. You will be in charge of coordinating the project planning, scheduling and documentation for several hundred reclamation revegetation projects and collaborating with appropriate internal support functions (GIS, Procurement) to track projects, visualize project parameters, and to develop assessment of ecological operations for critical decision making. Additionally, you will balance work across geographies to ensure resources area available and to identify schedule challenges that require adaptive scheduling or additional resources to meet reclamation goals. The position will be expected to establish strong cross-functional relationships to plan ahead and resolve issues efficiently so that critical weather cycle windows are not missed. You will also manage bids and work scopes in conjunction with the team.
What will you do:
Collaborates with Field Ecologists, Reclamation Supervisors & Compliance to develop annual strategic budgets, operating plans, and supports detailed project tracking.
Coordinates planning & review meetings, ecology operations scheduling and resource deployment.
Enters and maintains required project information to allow for rapid assessment of ecological operations, specific project timelines and budget needs, by the field ecology team.
Coordinates with GIS team to maintain spatial and visualization outputs for Ecology program, to allow for effective and almost real time project assessment, and cumulative summaries of all projects.
Manages all procurement processes for Ecology services
Administrative duties as needed
What will you need:
Bachelor's in Administration, business management, data management, project management, restoration ecology, or similar
High School/GED + 5 years in related field in lieu of bachelor's degree.
Project management certification preferred
2+ years in project management and coordination
Problem solver
Demonstrated coordination of a team
Demonstrated ability to undertake complex project management, scheduling, tracking
Development of Bid Plans and Scopes of Work specific to a project
Excellent skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Project Planning and Tracking Software
Preferred knowledge of business finance and economics and general knowledge of Florida habitats and wildlife
Preferred experience with GIS software databases
Ability to work independently
Strong communication skills – written and verbal
Ability to work and summarize data across multiple projects, to inform decision makers
