GENERAL SUMMARY
Under the direction and partnership of the Treasury Manager / Assistant Treasurer, the Due Diligence & Integration Analyst supports the evaluation, structuring, and integration of new or expanding power-generating assets into the organization’s corporate and treasury framework. This position plays a critical role in conducting due diligence for asset acquisitions, expansions, partnerships, and financing activities, while ensuring operational, financial, and regulatory readiness.
The Due Diligence & Integration Analyst coordinates closely with internal Treasury and Strategic Finance teams and external financing partners including municipal advisors, investment banks, underwriters, bond counsel, tax counsel, rating agencies, investors, and regional stakeholders. Additional collaboration with internal and external teams to ensure corporate readiness, institutionalizing processes and procedures, risk evaluation, and compliance will be key aspects of the position.
This position may also lead or perform special cross-agency projects, initiatives, or inquiries focused on implementation of the financial strategy.
PRINCIPAL ACCONTABILITIES
Due Diligence for New or Expanding Assets and Business Lines:
Perform financial, operational, legal, and compliance due diligence.
Review project financials, contracts, engineering and environmental documentation.
Identify risks, mitigation strategies, and integration requirements.
Collaborate with financial advisors, underwriters, and legal counsel to ensure successful debt transactions.
Support coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure transaction effectiveness and efficiency.
Where appropriate with Treasury & Strategic Finance leadership support, present to Executive Team and Governing Boards to ensure transparency and transaction authority.
Financial Analysis and Reporting:
Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and modeling to support debt management and financing strategies to support decision-making.
Prepare detailed reports for senior management and governing bodies, highlighting key financial metrics and trends.
Coordinate with financial institutions and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and transparent reporting.
Support audit preparation and inquiries to ensure proper documentation and review.
Develop and analyze financial models.
Assist with rating agency materials, investor presentations, and governance briefings.
Participate in transaction execution and document review.
Contribute to disclosure materials and due diligence checklists.
Integration into Treasury Operations & Corporate Structure:
Lead treasury integration activities for new assets.
Establish new bank accounts and internal control structures.
Develop or update internal policies and workflows.
Coordinate cross-functionally with Accounting, Operations, Legal, and other teams.
Ensure assets are properly incorporated into reporting and compliance systems.
Stakeholder Engagement and Investor Outreach:
Support Treasury & Strategic Finance leadership relationships with investors, rating agencies, and other key stakeholders.
Support development of investor presentations and outreach to enhance the organization’s reputation and market position.
Address investor inquiries and provide timely information on debt offerings and financial performance.
Coordinate strategic initiatives with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on future financing plans.
Communicate financing requirements and risk considerations.
Strategic Planning and Advisory:
Support development of strategic advice to senior management on debt-related issues and opportunities.
Analyze market conditions and trends to advise on optimal debt management strategies and financing opportunities.
Participate in long-term financial planning and budgeting processes.
Other assignments and projects as requested by the Treasury Manager / Assistant Treasurer, Treasury & Strategic Finance Manager / Director or the Chief Financial Officer.
Must participate on the Emergency Response team (ERO) when designated.
Must support the biennial refueling outage.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree with a technical emphasis in project management, accounting, finance, economics, business operations/industrial management, data analytics, or other related technical degree from an accredited college or university and seven years of progressive finance experience
OR Associate’s degree in project management, business or related field from accredited college or university AND nine years of experience in a technical field
OR High School Diploma/GED and eleven years of experience in a technical field.
Pay Range
$106,670.00 - $160,006.00 AnnualMidpoint:
$133,338.00Typically, selected candidates are hired between the minimum and midpoint of the range, based on applicable experience and qualifications, market rate, internal equity, and budgetary allowances.
Offers will be negotiated based on each candidate's qualifications.
Incentive Compensation
This role may be eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan. Incentives are earned based on employee performance against defined metrics and company goals.
