JOB DESCRIPTION

Purpose

The Shuttle / Van Driver III is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a Van to deliver produce. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, a focus on efficiency, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Van safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws, company policies, and established routes.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring the vehicle is in proper working order.
• Product Transport:
• Transport goods safely and efficiently between Sysco facilities and customers.
• Ensure the safe and timely transfer of product between locations.
• Safety & Compliance:
• Comply with all applicable safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date driver logs and other required documentation.
• Customer Service:

Skills

• Safety Awareness: Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all safety regulations.
• Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members.

Certifications

• Class 5 License

Education

High school diploma or GED

Experience

3+ years of experience

Physical Demands

• Frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling of heavy objects (up to 100 pounds) occasionally.
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, squat, and reach frequently.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions.

0-25%

Schedule:

Monday - Friday 08:00 a.m. - 04:30 p.m.
