Job Summary

Under general supervision, operates digital scanning units and inspects all film being scanned by the Administrative Services Digital Archives Department by performing the following duties.

Job Description

All candidates conditionally offered transfer, promotion or initial hiring into a DOT/safety-sensitive position shall submit to testing for drugs and alcohol and test negative before performing any job functions that are safety-sensitive or require a CDL. External job applicants with a confirmed positive drug or alcohol test result shall be denied employment and shall be required to wait one year before applying for another position within Tulsa County.

Essential Job Functions

  • Scan County records and documents.
  • Prepare incoming records and documents for scanning, by organizing them in the correct order, removing paperclips, and ensuring that they are fit for scanning.
  • Make any necessary edits to improve scan quality and generate file names to improve searchability.
  • Upload scanned records and documents to the appropriate location within the dedicated server.
  • Identify scanner malfunctions and perform minor repairs and perform regular maintenance of scanning equipment.
  • Assist internal department when workloads permit.
  • May drive County vehicles to pick up and deliver mails.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

Ability to learn the processes involved in digital scanning, file management, document organization. Ability to learn the use of scanning applications and equipment, word processing, and spreadsheet applications.

Ability to learn the processes involved in daily maintenance of scanning equipment and in performing minor equipment repairs.

Ability to deal tactfully with others. Ability to understand, follow, and deliver oral and written instructions.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and internet applications.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or GED.

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations with customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Valid Oklahoma Driver’s license possessed for at least 6 months

Defensive driving with Tulsa County with in 6 months of hired.
