Distribution Supervisor

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

To manage the Distribution team and assist FM with Operations. Directly supervise and coordinate activities of the transportation of gas cylinders. Be responsible for effecting a safe, efficient and satisfactory supply and service to customers of the Company.

• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal
services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards
for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
• Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic
planning, resource allocation, human resources, leadership technique,
production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
• Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the
meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
• Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection,
training, compensation and benefits.
• Knowledge of administrative procedures and systems such as email, word
processing, spreadsheets, managing files and records, designing forms, and
other office procedures and terminology.
• Speak to others to convey information effectively.
• Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of
alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
• Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the
most appropriate one.
• Monitor/Assess performance of yourself, other individuals, or organisations to
make improvements or take corrective action.
• Comply with government and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Adopt a flexible approach to work to ensure the operational needs of the
Company are met.
• Ensure that the premises and work surroundings are kept clean and tidy at all
times and advise the Site Manager of any repair work that becomes necessary.

Are you a MATCH?

  • Previous supervisory work experience from a logistic background.

  • A working knowledge of the health and safety requirements of the HASAW Act.

  • Good standard of numeracy or literacy.

  • Good standard of health and fitness. 

  • A full, clean UK driving license

  • Reporting at all levels
