BeOne Medicines USA, Inc. seeks Director, R&D Finance in Cambridge, MA:


Job Duties: Constantly evaluate finance and/or business processes to identify inefficiencies and propose and execute process improvements. Prepare quarterly forecast to ensure all expenses are properly planned, providing management with forecast insights to drive accurate resource planning and supporting different stakeholders located in different countries and regions with day-to-day operations. Support monthly close process, ensuring that all expenses are adequately recognized and providing management with Budget Variance Analysis reports, program/molecule performance metrics and financial analytics to inform senior management and support improved organizational decision-making. Support management on strategic decision making, including but not limited to program valuation & prioritization, scenario analysis modeling, development plan strategy and financial support to evaluate external development collaborations. Lead External Clinical Long-Range Planning (LRP) by connecting with R&D leadership, Portfolio Planning, R&D Sourcing and Corporate Finance to align on assumptions, build forecast model and present results to R&D and Finance leadership. Function as a core member of BCL2 Global Product Team, providing the team with useful financial analysis/perspective to ensure finance point of view is considered on team decision making. SPOC for Internal Control and external auditors, coordinating the timely delivery of internal controls, providing auditors with required documents, addressing questions, and managing control narratives and quarterly certification. Proactively support Sourcing and Clinical Finance Review Committee governance processes with a detailed review of study budgets and partnering with Global Clinical Program Lead, Program manager and Sourcing lead to present budget to governance chairs and address their questions to ensure study budget endorsement. Full-time telecommuting is an option.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related and 5 years of experience in the job offered or in any occupation in related field, OR Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related and 7 years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or in any occupation in related field.

Special Skill Requirements: (1) using financial analysis to influence and challenge senior leaders in a global environment; (2) understanding of the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors; (3) SAP; (4) TM1; (5) Biotech finance; (6) overseeing financial operations; (7) Budgeting; (8) Forecasting; (9) Strategic planning; and (10) Reviewing accounts payable and accounts receivable to make recommendations for improvement. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Full-time telecommuting is an option.

Disregard the below range, the selected candidate will earn a wage of $212,000 - $217,000 per annum.

Salary Range: $167,500.00 - $227,500.00 annually

Actual compensation packages are determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location. Packages may vary by location due to differences in the cost of labor. The recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for a preferred location during the hiring process.  Please note that the listed range reflects the base salary or hourly range only. Non-Commercial roles are eligible to participate in the annual bonus plan, and Commercial roles are eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
