Job Description Summary:

This role is responsible for supporting and managing technical projects involving a wide range of packaging materials, including closures, labels, corrugate, PET bottles, BIB bags, and other related components. The Packaging Engineer will work across multiple facilities and functions to ensure packaging materials and systems meet performance, quality, and operational requirements. 

What You’ll Do For Us

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support packaging engineering projects across various packaging material categories. 

  • Conduct packaging material evaluations, testing, qualifications, and documentation. 

  • Identify and resolve packaging-related issues in manufacturing environments. 

  • Ensure packaging systems meet safety, regulatory, and quality requirements. 

  • Provide technical support during line trials, validations, and material changes. 

Project Management

  • Develop project scopes, timelines, and deliverables. 

  • Coordinate with manufacturing teams, suppliers, quality groups, and procurement. 

  • Manage multi-site project activities and ensure consistent implementation. 

  • Maintain accurate records, test results, and project status updates. 

Continuous Improvement

  • Assess existing packaging solutions for opportunities to improve performance or reduce cost. 

  • Review new materials and technologies relevant to operational needs. 

  • Recommend improvements to packaging processes and specifications. 

What you'll Need

Qualifications & Requirements:

Required :

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering 

  • 7+ years of professional experience in innovation and creative work  

  • Experience working with packaging development for beverage applications  

  • Experience working with a range of process technologies  

  • Experience commercializing a new technology  

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. 

Preferred:  

  • Education: Doctorate degree in a Packaging science, Packaging engineering, or related field .

$149,000 - $173,000

Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
