Position Summary

The Director of System Physician and APP Services leads the planning, design and administration of compensation programs and contracting for Physician leaders, physicians, and Advanced Practice Providers. Partners and works collaboratively with multiple areas including Executive leaders, executive HR Business partners, Finance, and legal. This position requires the ability to develop effective solutions to confidential and complex issues within an increasingly financially challenging environment and to facilitate consensus among stakeholders. Hospital-based leaders may have a dual matrixed reporting structure.

Responsibilities

  • Directs administration of physician and APP compensation models.
  • Manages the technical and professional service resources used by the Department.
  • Directs Quality Assurance, Fair Market Value and commercial reasonableness testing of physician and APP compensation models.
  • Manages the Physician and APP contracting processes including ongoing collaboration with recruitment team, HP, legal and compliance.
  • Provides project management leadership for change management efforts in all areas of the Department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree is preferred
  • Minimum 8 years professional level experience
  • Five (5) years previous experience and demonstrated skills in progressive management roles, in both a managerial and supervisory capacity
  • Proven project management, planning and execution skills
  • Experience working in a clinical, operational and/or financial functional area preferred

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $161,491.00 - $232,378.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
