About The Role:
The Director of Cyber Enterprise Architecture (EA) is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of Security architectures across the company. The role will lead a team that will produce the Cyber Security architecture that works seamlessly with the IT and OT architecture and technologies. The team will also provide architectural support to other technology team and IT and OT Enterprise and solution architects. The team will create architectural patterns and templates that provide the blue prints for deployment, and are responsible for producing multi-year technology roadmaps work. In all aspect this role will work collaboratively with the wide D&T organization.
This role requires an experienced cybersecurity professional with a deep understanding of IT and OT environments, emerging threats, industry best practices, and regulatory standards. The Director will lead the team, collaborate with key stakeholders, and ensure the organization's critical infrastructure and applications remains secure and resilient against cyber threats.
Responsibilities:
Provide strategic guidance to senior leadership on emerging threats, risk mitigation, and the evolving landscape and the impact on the technology architecture.
Develop a set of architectural patterns, that are approved and understood by the whole architectural community.
Develop multi-year technology roadmaps as part of the wider cyber strategy and help prioritise deployment to fit the available cost envelope.
Evaluate and recommend appropriate cybersecurity technologies and solutions for IT and OT environments in order to mitigate the risk, including assessing new and novel technology.
Oversee the implementation of security technologies, ensuring they align with the design principles and patterns.
Collaborate with key internal stakeholders, including Digital and Tech, operations, and executive leadership, to integrate cybersecurity measures seamlessly into all systems.
Business Expertise: The Director of Cyber EA requires a high level of expertise and knowledge to achieve business objectives. This includes a deep understanding R&D, manufacturing, sales & marketing, and corporate function and the value streams used across the business to deliver value. Knowledge of other industries approaches to solving the cyber issues is crucial for anticipating potential cyber threats and ensuring the organization stays ahead in terms of cybersecurity measures. The role demands a strategic vision to align cybersecurity strategies with broader business goals, ensuring that security measures not only protect critical infrastructure but also contribute to the overall success and competitiveness of Haleon.
Problem Solving: The nature of problems encountered by the Director are complex and dynamic. The position involves addressing emerging cyber threats to IT and OT systems, which often require innovative solutions. The director must navigate evolving technologies, regulatory landscapes, and threat vectors, making decisions that have a direct impact on Haleon’s cybersecurity posture and collaborating with the business on those decisions. Problem-solving in this role requires a forward-thinking approach to anticipate potential risks and vulnerabilities. The complexity is heightened by the need to balance security measures with operational efficiency and cost effectiveness.
Nature & Area of Impact: This role significantly affects the business by directly influencing the security and resilience of critical infrastructure. The impact extends across various levels, from the internal operations and performance of the team to the broader business units and Haleon as a whole. The Director ensures the protection of assets, maintains regulatory compliance, and contributes to Haleon's reputation for reliability and security. The negative impact of a security breach in systems can be severe, affecting not only the organization's financial health but also its standing in the industry.
Interactions / Interpersonal Skills: The Director of Cyber EA engages in extensive interactions both internally and externally. Internally, collaboration with D&T, operations, executive leadership, and cross-functional teams is essential. The ability to communicate complex cybersecurity concepts to non-technical stakeholders is crucial for aligning security measures with business goals. Externally, the role may involve interactions with vendors, regulatory bodies, and industry peers. Strong interpersonal skills, including negotiation and presentation abilities, are necessary for building partnerships, staying informed about industry developments, and advocating for the organization's cybersecurity needs in external forums. This role may also involve representing the business in external events or discussions with governmental bodies, requiring effective communication and advocacy skills.
Qualifications and Skills:
10+ years in IT with a significant amount of that time spent in Cyber Security
CISSP, CISM certified
Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
