Job Summary: The Directorof Cheer will be responsible for the overall brand, operational budget, revenue streams, team operations, image, experience, and growth of the Denver Broncos Cheerleaders (DBC) and Junior Broncos Cheerleading programs (JDBC), ensuring they are fully integrated into the overall marketing and fan engagement strategy. This position will work cross-functionally overseeing program vision, planning and execution of all channels including but not limited to game day execution, budget and revenue, key events, partnership fulfillment, youth and adult programming, brand positioning, and media strategy. This position will also be responsible for all operational and management efforts related to DBC, gameday entertainment, and marketing.

Duties and Responsabilities: 

Oversee and manage all business, management and operational aspects of the Denver Broncos Cheerleaders (DBC) program by:

  • Develop and actively manage the annual department budget, oversee payroll, problem solve through budget challenges and identify new revenue-generating initiatives
  • Assume full responsibility for all gameday logistics, including on and off-field experience, gameday and media appearances
  • Plan and manage the master season calendar, including rehearsal schedules, game-day requirements and all team travel
  • Oversee all administrative and operational functions, including apparel ordering, HR relations, and partnership fulfillment.
  • Manage a support staff of four, oversee dance programming, style and all administrative responsibilities to ensure the highest standards of performance
  • Lead and manage 28 Denver Broncos Cheerleaders, including all admin, safety and performance coordination along with 2 part time choreographers and 2 full time coordinators

Oversee, plan and execute all aspects of the Denver Broncos Cheerleaders (DBC) brand and strategy by:

  • Lead marketing strategy for the DBC brand and further develop revenue opportunities and brand growth
  • Direct all aspects of brand creative, including the planning and execution of photoshoots and media days
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all media and public relations requests, shaping the public image and storytelling of DBC
  • Oversee the strategic direction and content for the team’s official website and all social media platforms
  • Collaborate with the partnerships team to pitch and manage sponsorships that align with brand vision.
  • Lead the design process for all team apparel and uniforms, ensuring alignment with brand standards and on budget
  • Provide brand-focused direction for the cheerleader presence and integration within the new stadium.

Oversee the planning and execution of all key events and programming to enhance the cheerleader and fan experience by:

  • Manage the entire lifecycle of team auditions, from marketing and recruitment to final selection process.
  • Develop and lead a comprehensive recruiting strategy, including prep classes, workshops and community outreach to diversify team’s demographics.
  • Develop unique experience at key Broncos events including training camp, 7K and draft.
  • Handle all logistical and branding requirements for high profile out-of-market events and appearances including Pro Bowl, influencer collaborations and strategic brand partnerships.
  • Assist in the continued growth and management of the Junior Denver Broncos Cheerleaders (JDBC) program, alumni programming and choreography camps and clinics

Other Duties as Assigned

Minimum Requirements: 

  • 7+ years’ leadership experience, preferably in a marketing role, with demonstrated expertise in building strong teams or brands
  • 5+ years’ experience within professional sports and/or cheerleading
  • Prior experience as a professional cheerleader
  • Experience coaching and mentoring to young women and leading a full-time staff
  • Experience managing business / sponsorship accounts and working with clients
  • Ability to work all Broncos games, nights / weekends, holidays as needed
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be highly motivated, with strong communication, business, organizational and customer service-oriented skills

Preferred Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of the NFL gameday experience
  • Ability to travel (domestic and international) as required

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary for this role is $105,000 - $115,000.
