.Job Description
JOB TITLE: Director, Credit Strategy Co-Ordinator, Portfolio Management
LOCATION: London
HOURS: Full-time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites. Colleagues with disabilities can be supported with workplace adjustments including hybrid working expectations in line with our Flexibility Works policy.
What you’ll be doing:
As the Director for Credit Strategy, you’ll sit at the heart of Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB), working with teams across the UK, Europe and the US to help shape how we support our largest clients and deliver on our growth ambitions. CIB is passionate about disciplined, purpose‑led expansion across transaction banking, debt financing and risk management and this role plays a crucial part in aligning that ambition with the risk appetite that keeps the Bank safe and well‑run.
You’ll be responsible for the programme that brings our coverage, product and credit teams together, making sure we take a consistent approach to risk as we grow. That includes running the Mandate & Scale and Risk & Geographic Appetite work across all ten business areas and turning complex issues into clear, practical recommendations for senior leaders.
You’ll also develop the framework that connects all this work. Bringing together appetite changes, mapping dependencies and ensuring proposals translate into realistic delivery plans. You’ll partner closely with regulatory teams too, keeping our evolving appetite aligned with requirements and strategy.
This new and influential role is part of the Portfolio Management senior leadership team. You'll have real scope to build CIB’s next phase of growth in a collaborative, encouraging environment.
