Reporting to the Vice President, Commercial Enablement, this exciting opportunity will act as an important advisor to the Chief Commercial Officer and Commercial Leadership Team (CLT). They will be responsible for defining and enabling the delivery of our Commercial Strategy across the organization, combining expertise in strategy development and execution with strong planning and program management capabilities. The incumbent will act as an integrator, connecting workstreams and aligning priorities; and as an enabler, operationalizing the strategy with a solution-oriented mindset. Serving as the “red thread”, they ensure collaboration and cross-functional alignment across and beyond the Commercial team through three core areas of responsibility:

Commercial Strategy Drives the refinement and activation of the commercial strategy, partnering closely with the Chief Commercial Officer and Commercial Leadership Team. Ensures the strategy is effectively communicated across the organization and with key external stakeholders (e.g. Board, Owners).

Strategic Planning, Prioritization & Portfolio Oversight – Leads annual and continuous planning for commercial corporate and field teams. Aligns and cascades priorities across the organization, working closely with key stakeholders and partners to gain clarity in accountabilities and outcomes. Oversees and reports on the commercial project portfolio to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery.

Commercial Operations & Governance – Champions the commercial governance framework by planning and facilitating bi-weekly and quarterly leadership meetings. Shapes agendas and content to drive strategic decision-making.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Commercial Strategy:

  • Works across the Commercial leadership team to interpret the Enterprise Strategy and translate it into a Commercial strategy.
  • Translates the strategy into clear guidance, business plans, etc. to ensure effective execution globally.
  • Develops or facilitates creation of presentations for the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and Commercial Leadership (CLT) (e.g. Board meetings, owner sessions, property reviews and conferences), ensuring clarity and alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Oversees global communication of the commercial strategy to enable effective operationalization, partnering with the Manager, Commercial Capabilities (e.g. quarterly town halls, memos).
  • Defines the role of AI within the commercial function, aligning initiatives to the broader strategy and portfolio. Oversees the AI project pipeline and associated governance framework (e.g. usage guidelines, test & learn) to accelerate adoption.
  • Provides thought leadership on market trends, industry dynamics, and the evolving luxury landscape, shaping how FS adapts and expands to maintain competitive advantage.

Strategic Planning, Prioritization and Portfolio Oversight:

  • Together with the business, translates the strategy into a prioritized set of clear initiatives which contribute to delivery of the strategy and the annual plan to achieve these.
  • Drives the annual and continuous planning process for the commercial corporate and field teams– including property guidance & annual property/corporate business plan development, strategic project prioritization, Owner communication, etc.
  • Maintains the Commercial portfolio of initiatives, providing a unified view of progress and proactively addressing risks and barriers. Ensures appropriate resourcing and funding while collaborating across departments to manage capacity, recommend tradeoffs, and align portfolio delivery with business priorities.
  • Provides ongoing status on the progress of strategic initiatives, working with teams to identify mitigation options and reporting on what matters and ensuring key barriers are being resolved.
  • Serves as a Center of Excellence for governance and operational best practices across commercial, partnering with business planners to deploy standardized tools, frameworks, and methodologies for effective planning and leadership engagement across regional and corporate teams.
  • In select circumstances, acts as Project Manager for highly cross-functional or strategically critical initiatives, providing end-to-end oversight, driving alignment across stakeholders, and ensuring timely delivery of objectives.

Commercial Operations and Governance:

  • Designs, delivers, and continuously enhances the commercial governance structure and serves the focal point for planning and facilitating governance forums—including bi-weekly and quarterly leadership meetings.
  • Provides oversight of Commercial budgeting and resource allocation, ensuring financial discipline, optimal capacity planning, and adherence to organizational standards.
  • Serves as the central point of contact for managing the intake, assessment, and prioritization of legal and contract processes. Partners closely with Corporate Legal to ensure timely handling and prioritization of contracts related to external vendors and agencies supporting the Commercial function in line with departmental priorities, while maintaining strict awareness to internal policies and compliance standards.

What You Bring:

  • Post-secondary degree, MBA preferred.
  • 8-10+ years progressive leadership experience in strategy, planning, and portfolio / project management work, 5+ years in a leadership role.
  • Experience within travel and hospitality an asset.
  • Experience working across a diverse group of stakeholders bringing together ideas, driving a clear mandate and agenda and keeping the team focused on delivering key results. Strength in leading without formal authority.
  • Ability to develop, articulate and deliver strategy.
  • Highly organized and able to work efficiently and effectively.
  • Experience creating and executing strategic priorities and initiatives.
  • Able to grasp and add value to the CCO’s vision.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Proven project and product management.
  • Understanding of travel and hospitality industry.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Monday.com or other project management tools an asset.
  • Understanding of opportunities to integrate AI into commercial areas of the business. Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot.
  • Data-driven and analytical mindset.

This role will be a Hybrid working model, which will require 3 days per week in the Four Seasons Corporate Office located at 1165 Leslie Street, Toronto, Ontario #LI-Hybrid
