We are seeking an accomplished and dynamic Director of Cash Logistics Operations & Strategy to join our team. In this role, you will be fully responsible for leading the execution of the national Cash Logistics function through the design and execution of Cash Logistics processes, operational improvements, and corporate team leadership (Business Solutions Management team). This role has a strong focus on improving process design, quality, continuous improvement, and developing integrated practices across the Brink’s network for all Cash Logistics processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Cash Logistics & Forecasting Operations
Maintain and improve the quality, profitability and safety of cash processing services through active use of CPI tools and lean principles
Work with cross-functional groups to support all Brink’s products supported by currency processing operations, including offering subject matter expertise when new Brink’s products are coming to market
Support the Sales department in attaining new Cash Logistics customers by participating in the RFP process as Subject Matter Expert in Client Discovery sessions to determine Cash Logistics solution fit and value to Clients
Design and implement a repeatable onboarding process for Brink’s Cash Logistics service offerings to enhance our customer experience
Support new offer development and design of Client solutions in collaboration with Operations and functional groups, including Strategy & Marketing, Sales, and Pricing, through the application and management of knowledge, skill, tools, resources and techniques.
Develop tools to deliver Cash Logistics-based supply chain solutions to customer requirements, requests and customer opportunities
Additional projects as required
Operations Management:
Oversees successful delivery of Cash Logistics business through leadership of Business Solutions Management team and collaboration with both corporate and field Operations teams
Will interface with other business unit heads to ensure effective implementation of strategies and cooperation towards business objectives
Establish KPI’s for Cash Logistics Business Units in collaboration with the Operations Strategy & CPI team
Assist in the formulation, recommendation, and implementation of company operation policies and long-term objectives
Create a team environment of accountability and commitment for reaching Continuous Improvement (CI) goals and LEAN methodology
Support building CI Culture through engagement, communication and celebration
Keep up to date on local and regional market conditions and the activities of the competition to make sound business decisions to meet corporate objectives
Work with sales to determine sales and pricing strategy of accounts within the region
Collaborate with local Branch Management to support the attainment of KPIs and SLAs in situations escalated beyond the Business Solutions Management team
Business Unit Performance Management & Employee Engagement:
Ensures national compliance with and training on customer-specific processing requirements and meets all audit expectations
Provides input to Management teams on decisions, including salary planning, performance management, hiring and termination recommendations
Reviewing, monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators by cash processing operation, identifying areas of concern and implementing practical solutions to those concerns
Reporting for financial and audit needs as per the requirements of the Finance department
Participate in the budgeting and strategic planning process
Process Engineering
Implement, monitor and maintain standardized reporting processes across all cash processing locations
Lead process design and re-design efforts in Cash Logistics with a focus on the development of integrated processes/systems with other services (i.e. CIT)
Working with various teams, evaluation and implement systems and process enhancements that improve cash processing and forecasting efficiencies and their contribution to business profitability
Development of Quality program (using 6 sigma principles) and reporting metrics, working with Security and Operations (i.e. error re-handling reduction)
Lead business interface to Technology team focused on the implementation of new Vault Management System and supporting processes
Work with Cash Logistics operations nationally to ensure the development and documentation of key cash logistics policies and procedures
Working with the Security department, review cash processing operation activities to ensure they comply with Company policies and directives
Position Qualifications & Competencies:
5+ years cash logistics, cash management and/or cash forecasting background, including experience developing and implementing new systems, metrics and products
Experience with Lean Six Sigma principles is considered an asset
Analytical problem-solving skills coupled with a solid background working with data and conducting analysis are required, with extensive experience working on a variety of large and small-scale projects
Ability to deal with employees and customers at all levels of the organization
Attention to details, deadlines and results is expected
Pride themselves on their approach to professionalism and client service
Bilingualism in English and French is an asset
