What is the Opportunity?
Lead the transformation of RBC's AML IT landscape, shaping the future of our anti-money laundering technology capabilities. This high-visibility role offers the chance to spearhead critical programs that protect our organization while modernizing our technological infrastructure. You'll work at the intersection of compliance, technology, and strategic leadership, driving initiatives that directly impact RBC's regulatory standing and operational resilience.
What will you do?
Lead the execution and delivery of AML IT transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and business objectives
Provide strategic direction and oversight for program governance, risk management, and technical standards
Manage cross-project dependencies and deliverables across the AML IT portfolio
Act as primary liaison with senior leadership, Global AML Compliance, and technology vendors
Build and develop high-performing teams while mentoring program managers
Allocate program budgets (influencing $15-30MM annually) and manage funding requests
What do you need to succeed?
Must have:
15+ years of technology experience in complex domains (e.g., Regulatory Reporting, Data Governance, Financial Risks)
Proven leadership of large-scale enterprise programs/projects ($25MM-$40MM+)
Expertise in Agile Development, Project Management, and Change Management
Strong working knowledge of AML, Banking, and Regulatory environments
Demonstrated ability to build stakeholder relationships and communicate complex ideas
Nice-to-have:
Advanced degrees (MBA preferred)
Experience managing third-party vendors and large development teams
Certification in Agile/Scrum or DevOps practices
