Overview:
The Digital Sales & Strategy Manager is a key individual contributor focused on expanding and elevating Nexstar’s network digital sales. Nexstar’s digital portfolio spans The CW, NewsNation, Nexstar CTV Plus, Nexstar Audience Network, and the Total Audience offering. This digital expert will serve as a subject‑matter resource across the Network Sales organization, bridging traditional national sales with the dynamic digital and programmatic marketplace.

Working alongside our Network Account Executives, this role combines client‑facing responsibilities with strategic collaboration across platform monetization, data, product, and marketing teams to advance Nexstar’s digital go‑to‑market strategy.

Salary Range: TOTAL ON TARGET COMPENSATION RANGE= $175k-$225k

Core Responsibilities

Sales & Client Partnership

  • Develop and grow revenue‑driving relationships with digital media buyers, client teams, and agency partners in collaboration with the Network Sales team.

  • Educate clients on Nexstar’s digital solutions, aligning offerings with advertiser objectives for optimal scale, precision, and performance.

  • Proactively identify and pursue new digital opportunities within both new and existing agency accounts.

  • Partner with operations and programmatic specialists to ensure seamless campaign delivery, optimal pacing, and actionable insights.

  • Collaborate on RFPs and client briefs to ensure clarity, alignment, and innovation in proposals.

  • Consistently achieve or exceed assigned sales and revenue goals.

Strategic Enablement & Go‑to‑Market Planning

  • Serve as an internal expert on programmatic buying models (open exchange, PMP, curated deals) across Nexstar’s SSP and DSP partnerships.

  • Partner with product, platform monetization, and marketing teams to package inventory, refine targeting capabilities, and shape audience strategies.

  • Continuously collect and share client and buyer feedback to inform digital product development and measurement enhancements.

  • Collaborate with The CW, NewsNation, and The Hill to align digital product information and operationalize sales processes.

  • Work closely with the Sales Marketing team to evolve sales materials and ensure consistent, compelling positioning across all platforms.

  • Equip the sales organization with playbooks, value propositions, case studies, and enablement tools to drive digital adoption and revenue growth.

  • Liaise between sales, product, and operations teams to streamline digital workflow and improve executional efficiency.
