- over 600 engineered, hybrid, and nature-based carbon credit project assessments, deep diligence for multi-year off-take agreements, and project co-design engagements;
- over 150 unique emerging technology diligence reviews; and
- deep technical diligence de-risking engagements in improved forest management, reforestation, BECCS, and DAC, with commercial strategy support in collaboration with carbon credit developers to ensure that their products are best-in-class.
Overview
Carbon Direct is seeking a strategic and hands-on Digital Marketing Manager to plan, execute, and optimize digital marketing programs across channels. This role owns the full digital ecosystem — from audience segmentation, creative trafficking, and campaign execution to measurement, optimization, and reporting. You will drive awareness, engagement, and qualified demand among priority audiences, ensuring measurable impact on pipeline and revenue.
The ideal candidate is both analytical and creative, with deep channel expertise, strong marketing operations skills, and the ability to collaborate across content, design, strategy and operations, revenue, and product teams. This role reports to the Director of Product and Solutions Marketing.
Key Responsibilities
Email Marketing and Automation
- Build lifecycle, nurture, newsletter, and one-off campaigns with strong segmentation and QA.
- Develop automated journeys (welcome, re-engagement, nurture) and run targeted A/B tests.
- Maintain list hygiene, consent/opt-in flows, and UTM governance.
- Manage lead scoring, lifecycle stages, and CRM workflows; support clean marketing-to-sales handoff.
Paid Media, Social and Retargeting
- Manage budgets and pacing across LinkedIn, Google Ads, and other relevant channels.
- Launch and optimize retargeting programs and build lookalike audiences.
- Own campaign structure, trafficking, naming conventions, and pixel accuracy.
- Explore and test new channels (YouTube, programmatic, paid content distribution).
Conversion Optimization
- Support landing page builds, CMS updates, and onsite personalization.
- Run CRO tests across pages, forms, and user flows.
- Use behavioral analytics tools (e.g., Hotjar) to generate insights and drive improvements.
Analytics and Reporting
- Define KPIs across channels and funnel stages; build recurring dashboards.
- Own tracking (GA4, Tag Manager, pixels, CRM integrations, attribution models).
- Analyze performance, deliver insights, and recommend optimizations.
- Contribute to forecasting, budgeting, CAC/CPL analysis, and pipeline reporting.
Cross-Functional Collaboration and Operations
- Partner with content, design, product, and sales teams on messaging and campaign execution.
- Ensure brand consistency, regulatory compliance, and high-quality delivery.
- Maintain campaign calendars, documentation, and structured processes.
- Manage marketing vendors, agencies, and technology tools.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in digital marketing with success in demand gen, ABM, lead scoring, and full-funnel optimization.
- Direct ownership of email, and paid social performance, and budgets.
- Proven experience driving MQL/SQL pipeline at scale.
- Expertise in HubSpot, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Google Ads, GA4, and GTM.
- Strong background in A/B testing, experimentation, and landing page optimization.
- Knowledge of GDPR/CCPA, tracking limitations, and evolving privacy requirements.
- Strong audience research, persona development, and insight translation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in B2B sales, climate tech, or technical/enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with attribution models (first-touch, multi-touch, data-driven).
- Experience managing agencies or external partners.
- Exposure to ABM tools (6sense, Demandbase).
- Understanding of UX principles and web experimentation tools.
Salary
$106,000-$129,000
