General Function
The Digital Marketing Coordinator owns Hy-Vee’s mobile and digital messaging campaigns end-to-end—
from planning and execution through performance analysis and optimization. This role sits at the
intersection of campaign operations and strategy, ensuring every customer touchpoint is timely,
relevant, and effective.
This person is a self-starter who takes initiative and drives work forward independently. They are
comfortable owning projects from start to finish, making informed decisions, and proactively identifying
what comes next. Success in this role requires both precision in execution and a strong sense of curiosity
to continuously test, learn, and improve performance.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Own end-to-end execution of corporate and local mobile messaging campaigns across SMS,
push, in-app messaging, and digital display—from planning through deployment and postcampaign
analysis
Manage the customer communication calendar, proactively prioritizing and adjusting to ensure
alignment with broader marketing strategy
Take full ownership of campaigns and projects, driving them forward independently while
keeping stakeholders informed and aligned
Partner with marketing, creative, and copy teams to shape messaging that is accurate, on-brand,
and optimized for the customer experience
Lead QA and deployment processes with a high level of accuracy and accountability
Build and maintain weekly and monthly performance reporting across mobile messaging
channels
Analyze campaign performance and translate results into clear insights, recommendations, and
next steps
Design and execute A/B experiments, using results to inform future campaigns and overall
communication strategy
Develop and refine audience segmentation strategies to deliver more relevant, targeted
communications
Partner with data teams to define, build, and automate scalable audience frameworks
Ensure compliance with customer communication preferences, including SMS opt-in/opt-out
management
Proactively identify opportunities to improve campaign performance, efficiency, and customer
experience
Contribute to broader communication strategy across channels based on performance insights
and test learnings
Act as a subject matter resource for mobile messaging and digital communication best practices
Foster strong relationships with external vendors of software utilized
Manage digital display channel execution, including in-store monitors, and serve as a key point
of contact for requests and troubleshooting
Maintain and evolve internal workflows, documentation, and SOPs to improve consistency and
reduce errors

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or related area, or equivalent work
experience preferred. At least three years of similar or related work experience is preferred.
Experience with audience segmentation, CDPs, or CRM platforms is a plus
Experience with mobile messaging platforms (ex: Airship) is a plus
Experience with content management is a plus
Retail experience is a plus
Physical Requirements
Must be able to physically perform sedentary work: exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.

Working Conditions
The duties for this position are normally conducted in an office environment. There is frequent pressure to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities.
