Transforms initial rough product designs using computer aided design (CAD) into working documents. Reviews engineering drawing and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards. Will be required to support and direct other Design team members. QA/QC model when complete and will send out notification that it’s ready to move to the next process. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for production of 2D and 3D Construction models from base information per project documents
  • Utilize collaboration system (Navisworks) to coordinate model content with other trades involved in the project
  • Perform a variety of complicated tasks
  • Attend meetings that are applicable to the scope of work as required
  • Final model QA/QC
  • Quickly make revisions/deviations as needed to support field
  • Will direct and lead the work of others
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
  • Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Participate in the Evaluation of any new software and upgrade of existing software
  • Work effectively with clients and other VC team members
  • Competent understanding of Client policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • 4+ years’ experience in CAD 
  • Above average written and verbal communication ability
  • Organized, systematic and competent to perform detailed tasks
  • Ability to give direction and mentor team members
  • Complete super complex electrical designs within budget hours
  • Has a strong ability to be a team player and grow with the team
  • Self-starter and motivated to work efficiently and effectively
  • Must possess outstanding interpersonal skills

Education & Certifications

  • Diploma Courses or equivalent is required
