Job Description & Summary

At PwC, our people in deals focus on providing strategic advice and support to clients in areas such as mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, and restructuring. They help clients navigate complex transactions and maximise value in their business deals.

Those in deal integration and valuation realisation at PwC will focus on assisting clients in successfully integrating acquisitions and maximising the value of their investments. You will be responsible for conducting valuations, financial analysis, and developing strategies for post-merger integration.

Purpose-led work you’ll be part of 

 As a Deal and Value Creation Analytics member, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Supporting high profile analytics projects showcasing the drivers and equity story of a business either to management or to bidders to increase deal confidence 

  • Supporting analytics projects to arm management with data driven insights to enable fact based decision making and drive value within the business 

  • Bringing structure and clarity to complex problems and business scenarios within tight deadlines 

  • Using your technical know-how and translating this for our non-technical stakeholders to support robust, evidence-based decisions 

  • Reviewing & creating reports and presentations and translating our findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders  

  • Working with our Global Data Analytics community to further enhance our analytics proposition 

  • Building and developing strong relationships at all levels both internally and externally 

  • Supporting on business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing client 

 

Most importantly, we need you to become a business partner and strategic advisor to our clients, translating and communicating your analysis to help answer the critical commercial questions. 

Experiences and skills you’ll use to solve 

  • Experience integrating disparate data sources and structuring, cleansing, and transforming data using tools such as Alteryx, SQL, Python, Databricks, and Power Query 

  • Experience working in cloud based data environments, including AWS or Azure, with an understanding of modern data architectures and scalable analytics workflows 

  • Experience building insightful visualizations and dashboards using Power BI or Tableau to support executive decision making 

  • Working knowledge of GenAI platforms such as GPT, Claude, or similar large language models 

  • Experience applying prompt engineering best practices to drive high quality, reliable outputs for analysis, content generation, and workflow automation 

  • Understanding of responsible AI principles, data privacy considerations, and practical business use cases for GenAI in finance and value creation contexts 

  • Professional experience, ideally in management consulting focused on finance and analytics or in Corporate Development or M&A (e.g. Private Equity). 

  • Technically-minded, and driven by solving complex problems. You will be working with some excellent analytical brains and varying stakeholders for our clients, and for this reason you will know how to explain the technical details to non-technical people.  

  • Use your commercial and financial skills to understand the drivers of a business, analyze their data and use this to provide clear insights and advice to our clients. 

  • Understand commercial drivers of a business and able to succinctly articulate this to stakeholders 

  • Able to articulate complex financial or technical concepts to non-finance staff 

  • Proven capability to self motivate and learn 

  • The ability and willingness to travel around 20% within Canada and internationally

The salary range for this position is $84,700 - $134,700. The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres. Given our national recruiting approach, ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At PwC Canada, base salary is determined by your skills, experience, qualifications and work location. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may have opportunities to participate in variable incentive pay programs which are designed to reward individual and firm-wide achievements.  We are committed to offering competitive compensation and adhere to all relevant pay transparency legislation.
