As the CMBU Architecture Director for DDR Memory at Micron Technology, you will have the opportunity to establish a deep understanding of Micron’s technologies and capabilities, as well as key market trends and competitive landscapes. Together with a team of architects you will be responsible for using that knowledge to define optimized DDR solutions that are focused on next generation datacenter systems.
You will be responsible for building strong technical relationships with system architects and key technologists across the industry and will have the opportunity to represent Micron at technical conferences and consortia. Your role in those industry engagements will be to drive pathfinding discussions, influence design-in decisions and negotiate product requirements with our ecosystem partners and customers. Internally, you will partner with Micron’s top R&D, design, test, and product engineers to ensure successful implementation of new product concepts. Working closely with Product and Business Development Managers you will ensure that each technical decision is aligned with our business strategy and ultimately help bring these outstanding new products to our customers!
Responsibilities
Lead a high-performing team of architect engineers, fostering collaboration and innovation.
Recruit, retain, and mentor top technical talent to build organizational capability.
Align team objectives with overall business strategy and ensure measurable outcomes.
Drive cross-disciplinary understanding of fabrication processes, memory technologies, and system-level interactions.
Engage with customers and industry partners to define requirements, deliver solutions, and represent the company as a technical authority.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
10+ years of experience in semiconductor design, system architecture, or related technical leadership roles.
Proven track record of leading technical teams and delivering complex projects.
Strong understanding of DRAM, emerging memory technologies, and system-level integration.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional and customer engagement.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
Experience with CMOS fabrication processes, interconnect technologies, and SI/PI analysis.
Familiarity with system topologies, protocols, PHY design, and power/timing optimization.
Active participation in industry standards organizations and technical conferences.
Demonstrated ability to create product specifications, intellectual property, and technical collateral
The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:
$193,000.00 - $391,000.00Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
