ROLE PURPOSE:


As a Data Scientist in Clinical Operations, you act as a strategic thought partner to key stakeholders. You are the champion in organisational analytics learning, and ensure expertise continues to flourish and develop towards future business needs. You are responsible for creating and implementing analytics and insights for different customers in the Clinical Operations group and partnering closely with business leaders and end users to understand needs, build or leverage existing capabilities and develop study decision support solutions.


WHAT YOU WILL DO:


●Increases the sophistication and application of advanced analytics methods (including predictive modelling, machine learning, and scalable prototypes) to measure and predict clinical trial performance and guide clinical program-level decisions efficiently and at the speed of business.
● Has a comprehensive understanding of the clinical operational data we work with and foster learning with colleagues using analytical tools and applications.
● Together with partners in business and IT, jointly designs, implements, and maintains efficient analytics tools and solutions for data-driven study decision support (SDS) in agile teams.
● Demonstrates customer-centric mind-set; proactively seeks to further improve our CO SDS landscape by contributing to projects and SDS solution development.
● Acts as thought partner and advisor to all relevant teams and stakeholders; Identifies evidence needs and recommends and supports implementing data solutions; e.g. jointly with IT partners.
● Applies analytical and statistical methods to answer a variety of business questions using multiple data sources and technical tools.
● Monitors and assesses the effectiveness of enrolment and engagement efforts, projects, and practices and identifies opportunities to optimise value of investments.
● Regularly assesses and adjusts priorities based on stakeholder feedback, organisational needs, and strategic relevance.
● Demonstrates strategic agility and ability to engage stakeholders to understand and diagnose Clinical Operations challenges and recommend appropriate courses of action.
● Acquires, aggregates and/or curates data and information to address clinical operations business needs.
● Conducts high quality analyses; plans for data processing, designs fit-for-purpose analysis plans, assesses effective ways of presenting and delivering the results to maximise impact and interpretability.
● Leverage generative AI to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of processes, including automation of analyses and the generation of insights and documentations.

WHO YOU ARE:


You are talented and passionate. You are inspired by our mission and would fit in well with our collaborative, patient centric and entrepreneurial spirit.
● You have proven work experience with with a Master's, preferably within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry (commercial or clinical) and/or management consulting
● Have sound experience in pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industry and drug development experience (therapeutic area experience a plus)
● You have a growth mindset, are excited about learning through experience, and thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous, and highly collaborative environments
● You have expertise in at least one of the following areas: Patient Insights, Investigator Insights, Forecasting, Competitive Intelligence, Data Analytics, Advanced Data Analytics, Resourcing, Information Visualization, and/or Data Science
● You are experienced in acting as a strategic thought partner to teams, using sophisticated techniques and tools to discover deeper insights, make predictions, or generate recommendations, and have an entrepreneurial mindset to transform the way we use data and analytics to enable decisions and hasten our delivery of medicines for our patients
● You possess solid generative AI literacy, including being capable of leveraging generative AI at a systems level—integrating APIs and prompt engineering—supported by a good knowledge of database systems (SQL and no-SQL) and related query languages.
● You are experienced in acting as a strategic thought partner, using excellent data visualization and mock-up skills (e.g., d3, plotly, Shiny, or Streamlit) to discover deeper insights and make predictions that hasten the delivery of medicines to our patients.
