A career in our Chief Data and Analytics Office (“CDAO”) within PwC’s Business Enablement team will provide you with the opportunity to leverage innovative solutions to enable data-driven decision making for our organization. We are dedicated to helping our leaders transform data into actionable insights through reporting, dashboards, and other data products. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of dashboards and reporting tools. You will work closely with stakeholders across Finance, Sales & Marketing, Human Capital, and other parts of the business to support our developers and project team members to ensure that our dashboards meet the strategic needs of our leadership and drive informed decision-making.Meaningful work you’ll be part of
As a Data Engineer at the Senior Associate level, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve business issues, deliver high quality client service and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Own delivery of data engineering tasks across projects and operational initiatives
Perform data ingestion/integration from diverse sources and enterprise applications
Manage integration patterns: batch, streaming, APIs/microservices
Design and maintain data models and support platform operations
Enable management reporting and BI dashboards
Contribute to CI/CD and DevOps processes
Support data architecture and governance practices (e.g., metadata, master/reference data, data quality)
Break down complex problems and make informed decisions in ambiguous environments
Translate conceptual architecture into deployable technical solutions
Experiences and skills you’ll use to solve
Experience in enterprise data engineering roles
Degree in engineering, computer science, analytics, business and technology
Demonstrated experience or data engineering certification for Databricks or AWS/GCP
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Databricks preferred), databases, BI tools, and data/analytics platforms
Exposure to CI/CD, DevOps, and platform operations, advanced SQL, proficient in Python, Scala, or Java
Strong in data ingestion/integration across structured/unstructured sources
Proficient in ETL patterns: batch, streaming, APIs/microservices and familiar with cloud-native data architecture: data mesh, lakehouse, warehouse
Experience with RDBMS/NoSQL, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
Skilled in schema design for BI and analytics with practical experience with Spark (PySpark/SparkSQL), Databricks, MS Fabric
Exposure to GenAI/LLM technologies preferred
Understanding of data strategy and importance of promotion of this strategy across the business.

The salary range for this position is $69,600 - $116,100. The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres. Given our national recruiting approach, ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At PwC Canada, base salary is determined by your skills, experience, qualifications and work location. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may have opportunities to participate in variable incentive pay programs which are designed to reward individual and firm-wide achievements. We are committed to offering competitive compensation and adhere to all relevant pay transparency legislation.
