What you will do

As the Data CoE Manager you will play a central role in ensuring governance, standardization, and continuous improvement of Data processes within the organization. You will ensure that Data solutions are implemented, maintained, and optimized in line with business strategies, acting as a reference point for all activities related to the data management and analytics.

Main Responsibilities 

Governance and Strategy 

  • Define and maintain the Data CoE strategy to ensure alignment with business objectives. 

  • Establish standards, methodologies, and best practices for the use of Data solutions. 

  • Oversee governance models for decision-making, risk management, and approval workflows. 

  • Ensure clear ownership of platform administration, security, integration, and governance 

Operational Management 

  • Monitor the health of the Data system, ensuring availability, performance, and security. 

  • Coordinate release, upgrade, and maintenance activities (Release Management) 

  • Montor issues a resolution and escalates to AMS service in case of need 

  • Support major incident resolution 

  • Provide operational support, application management, infrastructure management, and change management 

  • Participate in project preparation, blueprinting, realization, final preparation, go-live support, and run phases.  

  • Guarantee global business model adoption and promote innovation.  

  • Monitor system performance and integration.  

  • Manages the CAB (Change Advisory Board) and the related Release/Change management processes 

  • Monitor external/internal suppliers to ensure compliance with processes and procedures  

  • Lead the technical solution, design, and effort estimation phases for any new Data solution 

  • Monitor the Data Project portfolio to ensure the safety of the production environment  

  • Support the IT Governance function to define the SOD risk matrix  

 

Support and Innovation 

  • Provide second-level support for complex incidents. 

  • Promote the adoption of new Data features and innovation initiatives. 

  • Drive continuous improvement by analyzing and optimizing business processes and system design.  

  • Support AMS (Application Management Services) and user training/experience. 

Collaboration 

  • Act as an interface between IT and business, facilitating communication and understanding of requirements. 

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and external suppliers. 

  • Enable effective collaboration between technical teams and business stakeholders. 

What you need to succeed

Must have

  • In-depth knowledge of Data S/4HANA and main modules (FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, EWM). 

  • Knowledge of the customizing and optimization of the Data modules for business needs.  

  • Familiarity with Data Fiori user experience and embedded analytics. 

  • Understanding of master data management and data governance. 

  • Experience in Data integration, security, and architecture

Education: Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or related fields. 

Professional experience: 7+ years of experience in managing Data architecture from project management, service management and IT governance standpoint 

Language: Fluent knowledge of English (spoken and written)

  • Ability to clearly convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Technical Skills

  • Analytical skills to diagnose issues, evaluate alternatives, and implement effective solutions

Nice to have

Data certifications are a plus 

Other

  • Experience in international contexts and digital transformation projects  

  • Ability to manage complex projects and multidisciplinary teams
