We are looking to hire a Senior Platform Engineer to develop and deliver the vision for our Public Cloud Modernization transformation within the Core Banking Product Crew in Retail Technology.  This high availability, modernized platform powers many critical elements of the customer experience for our products

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud DevOps Engineer with a strong background in AWS, Terraform, and Ansible. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our SAP infrastructure on clolud, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. As part of the team, you will play a key role in supporting and optimizing our SAP landscape on AWS cloud.

  • Design, implement, and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure infrastructure to support SAP workloads on AWS.
  • Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Ansible to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management for SAP deployments and automation.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for efficient and reliable SAP deployments on AWS.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues promptly and proactively.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure performance and cost efficiency.
  • Work closely with SAP Basis team to ensure seamless integration between SAP and the cloud infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for cloud infrastructure and procedures.
  • Participate in security assessments and compliance audits related to the SAP environment on AWS.
  • Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and industry best practices to continuously improve our infrastructure.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Experience with SAP environments and tools is desirable.
  • Work with the Operations team to build capabilities to support their requirements.

Essential Skills:

  • 8-12 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer with a strong focus on cloud technologies.

  • Extensive experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Cloudformation, FSX, VPC, IAM, etc.).
  • In-depth knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools, particularly Terraform and Ansible.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub, TeamCity, Octopus, RedHat AAP and Artifactory.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts and security best practices in cloud environments.
  • Work experience and knowledge of RHEL or SUSE Linux administration would be an added advantage.
  • Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, etc.).
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Good understanding and experience on ITIL Process (Incident, Change, Problem Management)
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies and practices.
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or other relevant AWS certifications is mandatory.
  • A degree in Computer Science or a related field

Education Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology.
