Order Management Specialist – Wind Drivetrain Repair

Overview

Join our growing team as an Order Management Specialist dedicated to wind drivetrain repair, focusing on effective coordination and execution of order processing for wind gearbox and mainshaft repairs. The position will report to the Wind Segment Manager and be located in Elgin, IL, The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring seamless operations from initial job input to final customer communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Interaction: Maintain regular communication with customers to keep all jobs on track, manage expectations, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Sales Support: Provide inside support to the sales team regarding workshop repair jobs, ensuring that all necessary information is relayed and recorded in order promptly and accurately.
  • Order Input: Enter jobs in process into Flender MRP (SAP) for order management
  • Order Flow Coordination: Handle SAP order entry, monitor process flow, and manage storage tracking to ensure all orders are managed to customer’s satisfaction.
  • Repair Demand Calibration: provide periodic updates to demand planning team for accurate demand planning of gearbox and mainshaft repairs.
  • SAP Planning: Manage SAP planning of main shaft demand to optimize repair operations and inventory.
  • Disassembly Scheduling: Issue disassembly schedules in close coordination with the workshop and shop teams.

Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred
  • Ability to operate under pressure
  • Ability to multitask and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Previous experience in order management, logistics, or related fields (preferably within the wind industry)
  • Experience with shop flow preferred
