Regional Process Manager - Powder

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

Jotun South East Asia & Pacific (SEAP) Regional Office is looking for Regional Process Manager – Powder to drive the process improvement and standardisation of batch processing of powder in all sites in SEAP region by conducting audits according to the Group Process Team’s procedure and supporting the process when new equipment is installed/new factories are built in order to ensure continuity from R&D to local operations.

This position will report to the Regional Technical Director and will be based in Glenmarie Shah Alam, Malaysia.

Job Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities and work in close cooperation with the local organizations in the region through regular meetings and check-ins to implement continuous improvement programs.

  • Create and maintain optimized production processes which ensure the correct quality and quantity of products including Right First Time and stable throughput time through building practical skills in powder manufacturing.

  • Educate and train personnel involved in the process and suggesting best practices in related areas to develop competence in the area of process in the region.

  • Maintain cooperation with Regional Operations and Regional Engineering department through regular feedback and reporting on existing, new and future installations in Jotun Factories to ensure alignment with the Group.

  • Assist the local Operations/Process personnel in starting up new factories and installations by being a coordinator in the region to ensure the KPIs are being met during operations.

  • Coordinate and perform scale-up of new products from Innovation and technology projects by acting as a bridge between R&D and Manufacturing to ensure a proper transfer of knowledge in the region.

  • Process standardization and assist in troubleshooting related to processes in powder factories by working in close cooperation with local operations and R&D

  • Develop process mapping for the process flow of the local operations.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree with 7 to 9 years of relevant experience.

  • Excellent verbal, written and communication skills in English.

  • Knowledge of process/production within Powder coatings.
