Crew Driver

Tarkett Sports Construction Central, a leading construction company specializing in sports facilities, is seeking to add an experienced and reliable Crew Driver to our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting materials to and from job sites while ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle.


Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate company vehicles to transport crew members, equipment, and materials between company facilities and job sites.
  • Ensure timely arrival and departure according to project schedules.
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections; report any maintenance issues promptly.
  • Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior and exterior.
  • Comply with all local, state, and federal traffic laws, as well as company safety policies.
  • Assist with loading and unloading tools, materials, and equipment.
  • Support crew with light labor tasks when necessary (e.g., organizing tools, site cleanup).
  • Accurately maintain travel logs, mileage reports, and fuel receipts as required.
  • Report any incidents, delays, or route changes to the supervisor immediately.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL is a plus but not required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience driving in a professional or construction environment.
  • Willingness to travel a must.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs when assisting with materials.
  • Strong communication and time-management skills.
  • Dependable, punctual, and safety-oriented.

Physical and/or Travel Requirements:

  •  The ability to stand and walk frequently.
  • Potential exposure to noisy, hot or otherwise challenging conditions.
  • May require working outside of regular hours or on weekends in case of emergency repairs.
  • The ability to sit as needed frequently.
  • The ability to reach above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required for the position duties on occasion.
  • The ability to use manual dexterity frequently to operate technology devices and work equipment throughout the workday.
  • The ability to lift 50 pounds or more in office equipment, work equipment, etc.
  • Occasional push, pull, bend, stoop for position throughout the workday.
