Main Responsibility:
Lead, coach, and mentor the Credit and Collection Team for Nilfisk North America to ensure high-quality, timely, and compliant debt collection across the order-to-cash cycle, acting as the financial liaison between Customers, Sales, and Customer Care.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of team members engaged in collecting overdue payments.
Lead, coach, mentor, and support the team, including setting performance goals and development plans.
Assist directly with collection activities when needed.
Track, analyze, and resolve outstanding payment issues based on standardized reporting.
Support and serve as backup for the Credit Analyst.
Develop, implement, and maintain accounts receivable systems, procedures, and policies in alignment with company guidelines.
Ensure the team meets KPI goals and complies with company standards.
Deliver regular reports on collection performance to management.
Minimize bad debt by closely monitoring customer accounts.
Foster strong business relationships with stakeholders across all levels to encourage proactive resolution.
Participate and take leadership roles in ad-hoc group projects and continuous improvement initiatives for the order-to-cash process.
Experience Required:
Experience leading or supervising credit, collections, or accounts receivable teams.
Experience within the order-to-cash cycle (billing to collections).
Experience handling overdue accounts, payment disputes, and performance reporting.
Experience participating in process improvement or cross-functional financial projects.
Experience interacting with internal stakeholders (Sales, Customer Care) and external customers.
Qualifications & Skills:
Strong leadership, coaching, and team-development skills.
Solid knowledge of accounts receivable, credit, and collections processes.
Ability to analyze reports, monitor KPIs, and present performance updates.
Skills in developing and maintaining systems, policies, and procedures.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills across all organizational levels.
Problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
Proactivity and ability to lead or support process improvement initiatives.
