The Role
We are currently recruiting for a Country Manager to join our Rapid Diagnostics team with a strong focus on the Infectious Disease portfolio. This role is responsible for implementing strategies and programs that drive growth and performance across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. Through strong leadership and direction this role will develop and maintain an organisation that is successful in the market, creates a valued customer experience and fosters an engaged and collaborative culture.
As the Country Manager, you will provide strong commercial country leadership, owning end‑to‑end execution of the local strategy. This includes delivering sustainable revenue growth, optimising performance, and making sound, data‑driven decisions that balance short‑term priorities with long‑term value creation. In addition, you will lead confidently through change, demonstrating resilience and adaptability in complex and evolving environments. You will drive transformation initiatives with clarity and empathy, helping teams navigate uncertainty while maintaining momentum, focus, and commitment to outcomes.
Core Job Responsibilities:
Managing budgets, forecasting, and financial performance to meet revenue and profitability targets.
Develop and provide long and short-term business forecasts, business reports, and information flows as required on time. Raise deviations from the plan early and proactively provide mitigation plans and alternative scenarios. Deliver on financial goals (sales, margin, market share) and other financial KPIs.
Manage P&L to deliver the financial top and bottom-line commitments, optimizing profitability while investing in top-line growth opportunities.
In cooperation with regional and global functions, develop integrated business strategy considering specific market environments, Sales and Marketing and Go to Market models, Market Access, and Regulatory and Medical Affairs strategies.
Acquire, allocate, and sustain the necessary resources (people, materials, equipment) to execute the current and long-term strategy.
Understand the needs and expectations of internal and external stakeholders (e.g., regulatory/compliance entities, KOL, governments, associations, etc.). Initiate, maintain, and tactfully influence relationships
Manage and develop strong relationships with distributors to drive business growth. Lead negotiations, conduct regular business reviews with distribution partners, identify key actions, and lead changes as needed. Evaluate further growth opportunities and the development of strategic distribution partners.
Build and maintains relationships with local Key Opinion Leaders (KOL), key customers, and other relevant stakeholders to encourage their continuous input on technologies and to identify evolving needs from payers, healthcare systems, and patient´s perspective.
Qualification and Experience :
Bachelor Degree - 10+ years of relevant experience in a commercial business, Master Degree – highly regarded with 10 years experience (min 4-5 in a leadership position) in the healthcare industry.
Thorough working knowledge of the Australia, New Zealand and Pacific Islands healthcare systems
