Amentum is seeking a Cook/Seaman to support the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) Mission in Andros Island, Bahamas. AUTEC is a Major Range and Test Facility Base (MRTFB) and the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport's largest single team project, providing both deep and shallow water test and training environments. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance. Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
Essential Responsibilities:
Responsible for providing balanced, healthy meals for the range users during test events.
When not in testing, this position will assist with preventive and corrective maintenance on the deck of the ships.
Preventive and corrective maintenance includes preparation and painting of exterior and interior surfaces as well as torpedo and target recovery and small boat operations.
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
0-1 years of relevant experience.
Candidate must be able to pass DoD physical and respirator fit test once on island.
Must be able to reside in remote location with limited medical facilities.
A valid U.S. passport and driver's license is required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance. Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Some boating background is preferred.
