Humana’s Insights team is focused on driving strategic decisions through data. As an Insights Principal, Strategy & Product, you’ll lead initiatives that shape product development and marketing strategies using deep insights and analytics.

Position Overview:
The Insights Principal serves as a strategic leader responsible for designing, executing, and interpreting complex market research initiatives that inform business decisions and drive organizational growth. This role ensures that research methodologies adhere to professional standards and legal requirements, and that actionable insights are effectively communicated to key stakeholders and executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as key team member representing Insights team on high visibility, high impact projects work teams across the organization providing expertise and the point of the view of the consumer.
  • Lead the development and implementation of strategic and large impact qualitative and quantitative market research projects, including study design, methodology selection, and data analysis.
  • Lead a transformation in moving from data sharing to true insights and storytelling across the insights team serving as a teacher and mentor.
  • Translate research findings into strategic recommendations that support enterprise goals and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, strategy, product, and analytics, to align research objectives and deliver integrated insights.
  • Mentor team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and serving as a subject matter expert, to aid in their professional growth and expertise and quality of team’s work.
  • Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership in clear, concise, and actionable formats.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices, emerging methodologies, and innovative technologies relevant to market research.
  • Ensure all research activities comply with applicable legal and ethical standards, including data privacy regulations and professional codes of conduct.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Market Research, Business, Statistics, Psychology, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in market research, insights, or related fields, with a track record of managing complex projects.
  • Expert level at turning data into compelling insights and what's next stories for organizations.
  • Expert level proficiency in statistical analysis, research design, and reporting tools.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize data into actionable strategies and business solutions.

Work-At-Home Requirements

At minimum, a download speed of 25 mbps and an upload speed of 10 mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense. Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job. Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Any Humana associate who speaks with a member in a language other than English must take a language proficiency assessment, provided by an outside vendor, to ensure competency. Applicants will be required to take the Interagency Language Rating (ILR) test as provided by the Federal Government. 

Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$150,000 - $206,300 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
