Position Summary
The Construction Senior Project Manager plays a critical role in the oversight and execution of large-scale tenant finish-out builds for multi-year, complex projects as well as remodel projects across both enterprise and non-retail portfolios. The responsibilities include managing project budgets and schedules, handling construction documentation, obtaining permits, leading contractor bidding and negotiations, and ensuring successful project completion from initiation to closeout.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Work closely with internal Real Estate teams, business partners, Operations, external developers, and contractors to scope, budget, and document construction projects. Present project proposals to internal stakeholders for REC meetings.
- Lead comprehensive construction management for large-scale tenant finish-out builds and enterprise remodels, ensuring projects adhere to CVS Health design standards, quality benchmarks, timelines, and budget requirements.
- Oversee $50-80 million in annual capital and expense budgets, maintaining strong financial discipline and precise tracking.
- Collaborate with cross-functional internal and external partners to support project delivery.
- Conduct regular site visits to verify construction progress, compliance with plans and specifications, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Monitor project schedules and budgets, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
- Represent CVS Health with city and state agencies throughout planning, permitting, and construction phases.
- Manage punch lists and drive a timely, comprehensive project closeout process, including documentation and turnover.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in all aspects of the design and construction process, covering standards, permitting, and cost management.
- 30% - 50% travel required anywhere in the U.S. to support projects across the entire Enterprise portfolio as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction standards, design processes, and cost structures.
- Strong project management experience with the ability to lead large cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large, complex budgets.
- Proactive, self-directed work style with strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Project, Outlook, etc.) and project management software.
- Strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with internal leaders and external stakeholders.
- Adaptability in a dynamic, fast-paced retail environment.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$75,400.00 - $182,549.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
