Conservatory Auditions Assistant

Boston Conservatory at Berklee Part time

In order to participate in Berklee Student Employment, a student must fulfill the following requirements:

  • Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.

  • Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program. Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being enrolled. In this case, the student must be pre-registered for the upcoming fall semester. This exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters.

  • Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN).

  • Remain in “valid” Visa status as applicable.

  • A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Students in their first semester can work, even though they do not have an official GPA until the completion of their first semester.

  • Federal Work Study student may apply.

  • In good disciplinary standing.

  • Must be located in the U.S.

The Office of Admissions hosts multiple on campus Boston Conservatory audition events per semester, typically on Saturdays and Sundays. The first event is typically held sometime in early November. These can be all-day events, typically starting at 8:00am and going until approximately 6pm. There will be mandatory training for all new hires.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Check-in applicants for their audition or interview at on campus events, and provide them with helpful information about their audition and all that they need to know for the day Escort applicants to audition location(s) if it is in a different building than where they check-in and from their warm-up room to the audition room
  • Escort applicants to their designated practice and warm-up rooms, keeping track of applicants’ locations and audition times, and guiding them to the audition room when it's their turn
  • Help with setting up and organizing check-in tables, ensuring materials are set up correctly in practice rooms, and performing other logistical tasks as needed
  • Assist Audition Manager(s) as needed

  • Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with faculty, admissions staff, fellow student workers, applicants, and guests in a professional and respectful manner

Hourly Rate: $16.45
