The Flipp Total Rewards team designs and administers competitive and equitable compensation & benefits programs that attract, retain, and motivate our employees. They collaborate with HRBPs and business leaders to implement total rewards strategies that support our overall organizational goals and meet the material needs of our employees.

The Compensation & Benefits Partner, Europe will be the foundational role responsible for supporting a unified global Total Rewards strategy.

This is a critical, hands-on, and highly strategic individual contributor role that acts as the primary expert for all compensation, benefits, and rewards programs across our European markets. They will partner with our Shopfully P&C Partners, Talent Acquisition team, and the global Total Rewards team (based in Canada) to ensure our programs are compliant, competitive, and designed to support our global scale and cultural values.

What you'll get the opportunity to do:

Compensation Strategy & Execution

  • Lead all compensation-related processes and programs for European entity employees - including merit & promotion cycles, salary planning, and bonus design - in partnership with People Business Partners and Finance.
  • Translate market and internal data into practical compensation recommendations that align with the organization’s strategic value framework and job architecture.
  • Maintain and apply an internal levelling and job catalogue to support organizational consistency and pay equity.
  • Create foundational compensation programs, bringing your previous experience and best practices to life in a global organization. 
  • Work towards successful implementation of the 2026 EU Pay Transparency Directive in all applicable regions.

 

Benefits, Governance, & Risk Management

  • Benefits Audit & Catalogue: Lead the collection and auditing of all existing employee benefits and perks across all European countries, creating a detailed catalog by country and employee type
  • Regulatory Compliance & Risk Mitigation: Ensure all Total Rewards programs, including statutory and non-statutory benefits, are fully compliant with local employment laws, tax regulations, and Works Council agreements across all operational European countries.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with local external partners, brokers, and benefit providers, supporting alongside our Cost Control Manager,  Legal and Finance the procurement, renewals, and negotiations to ensure optimal service delivery and cost optimization.
  • System Enablement: Partner with the People Operations team to ensure the accurate and compliant maintenance of all EUR compensation and benefit data within our tools (HiBob, Pave, Mercer)

 

Program Enablement & Communication

  • Global Program Localization: Provide critical local expertise for the successful localization and launch of a global recognition program and knowledge hub across Europe 
  • Stakeholder Communication: Partner with the P&C Business Partner and Talent Development teams to co-create and deliver localized manager talking points and employee communications regarding compensation changes, benefits enrollment, and the new global framework.
  • Enablement & Training: Develop and deliver training sessions on Total Rewards topics to EUR managers and employees, ensuring high adoption and understanding of the new global strategy.

What you'll bring to the team:

  • 3-5+ years of progressive experience in compensation and benefits, with a mandatory focus on complex European markets (multi-country experience is a significant asset).
  • Deep, demonstrable expertise in European employment law, collective bargaining agreements, and regulatory requirements related to Total Rewards (e.g., EU Pay Transparency Directive, GDPR, statutory benefits).
  • Exceptional analytical skills, strong Excel/modelling capabilities, and proven experience translating complex local data into strategic recommendations.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and complexity inherent in integrating legacy systems and multiple country regulations.
  • Fluency and/or professional proficiency in both English and another core European language (e.g., German or  Italian) is required.
  • Formal qualifications such as CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) or equivalent are a plus.
