What is the opportunity? 

Our product management team is looking for passionate individual to manage RBC Insurance's Participating Whole Life (PWL) line of business.  This includes ongoing maintenance as well as enhancements to existing products ensuring effective management of the product through its life cycle.  The role acts as a subject matter expert for all PWL product information, supports the attainment of our strategic objectives, and greatly influences the brand reputation for RBC Life Insurance Company.

What will you do?

  • Manage day to day product management activities, including but not limited to addressing advisors’ inquiries

  • Collaborate with the individual product development team and product enablement team to ensure this product line meets performance expectations.

  • Understanding key drivers of financials for this line of business

  • Monitoring performance against KPIs and partner with stakeholders to address trends or issues

  • Conduct performance analysis on a needed basis to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency

  • Accountable for product related reporting and risk assessment to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and compliance requirements

  • Collaborate with cross functional partners - including product development, product enablement, pricing, sales, marketing, operations, IT and digital to implement enhancements and resolve product issues.

  • Maintain an awareness of the competitive and industry landscape. Monitor the regulatory environment to determine business risks and impacts. Recommend and implement policy and process changes as required.

  • Maintain all related internal and external product materials such as, but not limited to product specs, contract wording and marketing materials.

What you need to succeed?

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in life insurance produce management, preferably with Participating Whole Life products

  • Solid understanding how life insurance products work

  • Detail oriented with problem solving and analytical skills.

  • Proven ability working with reports, monitoring KPI and proposing action plans

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills while fostering teamwork

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while effectively managing multiple priorities

  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office suite of software
