For our team in Warsaw we are seeking a Commercial Manager.
The selected candidate will be employed by Amentum Clean Energy Ltd Sp. z o.o. – Oddział w Polsce, part of Amentum.

Embedding sustainability in solutions and project delivery.
Effective management of delegated commercial scope of work, in accordance with Amentum and Client governance and delegated authority.
Managing Supplier / Contractor commercial relationships.
Draft, review, negotiate, and manage contracts and contractual correspondence
Ensure that all contractual obligations (including deliverables, KPIs, notices, reports) are met on time
Providing support to Procurement processes including bid preparation, contracts drafting, contract variations, service authorizations, etc. Lead contract change management: variations, claims, notice requirements, extensions of time, and amendments.
Coordinate the development of back‑to‑back terms for subcontract agreements.
Review client contract terms and ensure proper flowdown to subcontractors and suppliers.
Maintain accurate contract records, registers, and documentation
Support contract interpretation, dispute avoidance, and resolution activities.
Commercial management of allocated contracts, including contract notifications, change management and payment processes.
Commercial management of contract conclusion, including agreement of final accounts.
Manage commercial risks, opportunities, and mitigation strategies
Work closely with technical, project, and finance teams to ensure timely procurement and delivery.
Provide guidance to project teams on contractual rights, obligations, and compliance.
Manage stakeholder relationships, including internal teams, clients, partners, and subcontractors
Identify, assess, and manage commercial, contractual, and supply‑chain risks.
Professional development of self and people within the team.
Stepping up to address difficult issues - saying what needs to be said and doing what needs to be done
Act as the primary point of contact for all commercial, contractual, and supply-chain matters.
Requirements
Degree in Business, Law, Engineering, Economics, or related field.
Proven experience in commercial management, contracts management, and supply‑chain leadership. Able to demonstrate a considerable track record of successful procurement and effective contract administration.
Effective commercial / contract management skills, with clear knowledge of best practice contract methodologies.
Strong leadership, collaborative and team working skills, with the ability to act as deputy.
Highly developed commercial skills and demonstrable ability to make sound decisions on matters of significant financial value.
Good understanding of contract performance measurement, risk management and change and claim management.
Track record with most common Forms of Contract within major infrastructure projects and programme environment; with knowledge of legal matters and its impact upon the contract and commercial function.
Good understanding of the legal and regulatory framework.
Comfortable in managing stakeholders effectively.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
Good level of spoken and written English
Desirable
Experience of working in regulated industries
Knowledge of nuclear site licence conditions and the nuclear baseline philosophy
Member of the RICS / CIPS or equivalent professional body
Knowledge of Polish language would be advantageous.
