About the role:
The Commercial Director is a key member of the Hotel Leadership Team at San Domenico Palace, collectively responsible for defining and executing the commercial strategy to maximize business performance and reinforce the hotel’s positioning as a leading luxury destination in the Mediterranean. The Commercial Director drives integrated commercial plans that support revenue growth across Rooms, F&B, Spa and Event spaces while ensuring brand integrity and elevating the hotel’s historic identity and Four Seasons DNA.

What you will do:

  • Lead, coach and empower a high-performing commercial team

  • Build trust and confidence with stakeholders: Ownership, Home Office, Planning Committee and hotel team. 

  • Lead the Annual Marketing Plan and commercial budget processes with clear KPIs

  • Utilize market segmentation to optimize business mix and profitability throughout the year

  • Continuously monitor performance and adapt tactics to protect revenue and market share

  • Guide commercial initiatives that highlight luxury positioning and the property’s historical uniqueness

  • Represent the hotel at key industry, trade and partnership events locally and internationally

  • Maintain brand clarity and consistency across all commercial channels

  • Act as an ambassador of The Golden Rule and Four Seasons values

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or Hospitality Management

  • Minimum 5 years of senior commercial leadership experience within luxury hospitality

  • Strong financial, analytical and strategic thinking capability

  • Ability to lead teams and engage senior stakeholders effectively

  • Ability to forge solid working relationships with peers, agencies and property-based personnel. 

  • Fluency in Italian and English
