Summary
Responsible for overseeing electric service, billing, contracts, agreements and relationships with GP&L's Industrial and Commercial customers. Responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing ERCOT demand response programs. Also, responsible for overseeing day-to-day activities, long-term goals and objectives of the Energy Efficiency program, Key Accounts, and energy audit activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Act as account executive for customers above a 500kW demand, addressing all issues related to their electric service.
Analyze equivalent electric market prices relative to customer load shape data, determine competitive pricing alternatives, coordinate management approvals of customer negotiated rates and tariff alternatives.
Negotiate and maintain relationship with Industrial customers’ contract for electric service.
Maintain routine communication and customer visits with Key Accounts customers.
Develop, implement, and oversee customer demand response programs.
Coordinate selection process for ERS contract service providers including Request for Proposals development, submittal, evaluation, and awards.
Develop presentations to educate peers, contractors, vendors, employees and the public on load management and demand response programs.
Research and draft documents for presentation and publication such as status reports and annual reports.
Provide regular reports, summaries, analyses and recommendations. Hire, train, motivate and evaluate staff to achieve department goals and objectives.
Represent GP&L on local, state, and industry organizations.
Monitor regulatory activity on a state and national basis and take an active part in the regulatory process.
Direct the overall strategy and management of GP&L Industrial and Commercial accounts.
Develop and implement plans to promote Garland’s energy efficiency projects and programs. Manage program budgets and grants.
Minimum Qualifications
4-year college degree
7 years related experience
1 year of management experience
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
Preferred Qualifications
Education/ Experience
4-year college degree in Business, Electrical Engineering or related field
7-10 years’ experience in key account management, customer relations, or related area
1-3 years management experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Extensive knowledge of both wholesale and retail markets in ERCOT
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of electric service standards, demand side management, energy conservation, etc.
Basic knowledge of HVAC and lighting technologies
Strong skill in budgeting, finance and cost allocation
Strong skill in energy management
Ability to effectively communicate technical data to customers
Ability to serve customers and contacts effectively
Licenses and Certifications
Valid Class C Texas driver's license
