Client Relations Deal Flow Analyst

General Description:

We are seeking a Client Relations Deal Flow Analyst to join our team. The Client Relations Deal Flow Analyst will work under the Assistant Director of Deal Flow. This role will assist in sourcing acquisition and investment opportunities for clients, prospective clients, and friends of the firm. This role will provide research support to the CRO team and perform various project and data management duties. The analyst will play a critical role in analyzing and optimizing deal flow using Intapp DealCloud. Drawing upon a deep understanding of private capital markets, this position will collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external deal participants.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:

  • Identify and source investment opportunities in key focus industries for participants in the firm’s proprietary HK Deal Flow℠ program.
  • Leverage the CRO database, powered by DealCloud to identify qualified buyers, lenders, and other investors for deals sourced.
  • Facilitate and manage communication, including automated and non-automated messaging—with investors, external deal intermediaries, and strategic partners.
  • Track and manage the full lifecycle of deals through the HK Deal Flow℠ program, owning task management and workflow execution to ensure deals are shared, actions are completed, progress is monitored, and timely feedback is delivered to intermediaries.
  • Maintain the HK Deal Flow database (e.g., entry of new deals, contacts, maintain data hygiene).
  • Create a monthly HK Deal Flow℠ newsletter and oversee newsletter follow ups.
  • Perform research assignments to support the growth and expansion of the HK Deal Flow program (e.g., basic market, industry, prospect or deal intermediary research).Leverage DealCloud to develop dashboards, reports, and insights to track KPIs and pipeline metrics.
  • Collaborate with leadership to create and present HK Deal Flow℠ performance reports.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to resolve any technical issues and recommend database improvements as needed.
  • Special projects and duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • Strong proficiency with Intapp DealCloud (experience customizing workflows, dashboards, and reports is a plus).
  • Strong data management skills, including research and navigation.
  • Deep understanding of private capital markets.

Required Qualifications & Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 2+ years of corporate business development, investment banking or deal advisory experience.
     

Preferred Qualifications & Education:

  • Familiarity with middle-market M&A processes or private capital markets.
  • Exposure to investment banking, private equity, venture capital, lender relationship management or corporate development.
  • Knowledge of data enrichment tools (e.g., PitchBook, Capital IQ).
     

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Moderate or advanced keyboard usage
