Job Summary: DCSA is seeking a supervisor to manage and coordinate a wide range of functions across Security, Insider Threat, and Mission Assurance. This position is responsible for enhancing the protection of DCSA personnel, information, and facilities by identifying and neutralizing insider threats. The role encompasses strategic planning, financial management, program and system design, security operations, quality assurance, and performance metrics.

You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade GS/GG-14 in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility. Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience. Specialized experience for this position includes: - Utilizes physical security, personnel security, operations security, foreign disclosure and security administration. - Applies security concepts and procedures used to resolve complex and challenging problems occurring between the Security Program Office and overlapping and conflicting programs such as Physical Security, the Freedom of Information Act, foreign disclosure requirements, reciprocal security reviews, intergovernmental agreements and other security programs. - Oversees a wide variety of security equipment, devices, procedures and other protective approaches for facilities, personnel, physical and information to plan, implement, or ensure protective methods and procedures. - Develops and overseeing security policy, plans and programs as well as execute high level decisions and recommendations which will result in fundamental modification and or significantly reformatting the interpretation of agency level security policies. - Applies and exploits information technology and tools, and emerging technology in conducting and improving security of physical space, cyber systems and other agency programs and equipment. Specifically you will be evaluated on the following competencies: 1. Security: Knowledge of the laws, regulations, and guidelines related to securing personnel, facilities, and information, including the requirements for handling, transporting, and protecting classified information and proper reporting of security incidents. 2. Security Program Management Accountabilities: Manages and oversees security implications (e.g., strategic, personnel, infrastructure, policy enforcement, emergency planning, and other resources) for a program or other area of responsibility. 3. Decision Making: Makes sound, well-informed, and objective decisions; perceives the impact and implications of decisions; commits to action, even in uncertain situations, to accomplish organizational goals; causes change. 4. Leadership: Influences, motivates, and challenges others; adapts leadership styles to a variety of situations.
