ING is looking for the Chapter Lead - FR Capital Analyses which is part of the Financial Risk Frameworks and Control Tribe, - responsible for FR Oversight topics including FR Capital & Analyses , Policies & Regulations, Integrated Process Control and FR Strategy and Change initiatives to ensure alignment with ING’s overall Risk vision and ambitions
Impact: Directly influences Financial Risk and Oversight topics - thereby impacting ING's key capital metrics and also FR risk framework execution such FR RAS
The Financial Risk Capital & Analysis Chapter sits within the Global Financial Risk Framework & Controls Tribe in the new Financial Risk (FR) organization (previously part of the Balance Sheet Risk Tribe). The Chapter leads key elements of the global integrated FR Capital & Oversight topics, structured around three core pillars:
1. Market Risk Economic Capital (MREC)
Global lead and oversight of the MREC framework.
Owner of the MREC Risk Appetite Statement (RAS) setting, insight driven reporting & forecasting, and capital risk assessments.
Drive enhanced business use of MREC through a streamlined RAS, a simplified and centralized model landscape. Providing impactful risk insights that strengthen FR’s independent challenge in the 2nd line of defence
Model owner for Group MREC banking book models.
Primary point of contact for MREC topics with internal and external stakeholders.
2. Financial Risk Regulatory Capital
Global lead for Financial Risk Regulatory Capital oversight.
Owner of the FR Capital RAS setting, insight driven reporting & forecasting, and overall capital risk assessments;
Providing risk assessments and impacts for business proposals
Model owner for Group MRWA banking book models and Equity RWA in the banking book.
Primary point of contact for FR Capital and MRWA-related topics for internal and external stakeholders.
3. Financial Risk Oversight
Lead the integrated Financial Risk management cycle, including risk identification, assessment, RAS, and ongoing monitoring.
Provide strong oversight, including Committee input and challenge on key Financial Risk topics.
Review and challenge Annual Report and Rating Agency deliverables from Financial Risk.
Strengthen forward-looking risk management through stress testing oversight and proactive risk assessments.
The Chapter also acts as the CARC Secretariat, responsible for reviewing and challenging risk assessments and the CARC dashboards.
